I'm upgrading my review to FANTASTIC. From the lady who helped me pick out the best frames, to the doctor who gave an excellent prescription, to the lady who adjusted them and listened to what I said, I would recommend them highly.

I've had my current pair of glasses for 3 yrs and never had any problems. I needed to have my left arm tightened since it was loose. Nothing else. I never gave any indication I had anything wrong with them. They are $500 pair of frames. I never had the plastic heated up before since they never needed it, they are straight across with no curve whatsoever at the nose piece. One of the people took my glasses to the back after I clearly said only left arm is loose and she came back with my glasses completely curved around! Nose piece and everything just curved around almost like ski goggles. My prescription so messed up from this new shape that I couldn't even see an inch in front of me. They had someone else try to fix them. I once again explained what needed done but this time said they are not supposed to be curved just straight across.....the glasses had a curve anyhow, the nose piece is permanently bent now where my nose hurts so badly wearing them for less than 5 minutes. Now I have to buy a new pair of glasses because of that first woman's incompetence. No other way to say it she was incompetent. How do you get "change whole glasses shape" out of "please tighten my left arm"? I'm not happy at all and close to filing a complaint with Walmart's corporate office to report this attempt to snap my glasses. It would be alleged if it wasn't obviously a change in my whole glasses shape. It takes a lot to change the shape of plastic glasses the way she did. This was on purpose...... allegedly.
Awful choice I made by going here. I thought I'd save some money. He gave me a wild prescription that made me literally sick everyday from the pain. I was told I needed to get used to it. Give it time. NO! I gave it a month. HORRIBLE OPTOMETRIST! DON'T TRUST THIS DOCTOR!
Dr. Junk is courteous and helpful. His staff on the other hand is very lethargic and show little desire to be there. As for their sales experience, they talk fast and make it difficult to understand the product and price. I paid the cost of exam but got my prescription. Purchased frames and lens from well known online seller and saved a bundle!!
The week of may 20 th I get a text message stating that I had some contacts that needed to be picked up from Walmart. Now mind you my appointment was a month and a half prior. So a week later when I get a day off from work I go in to pick up my trial pack of contacts. Now I NEEDED to get the trial pack. Which the doctor and I had the understanding since the last time I had contacts I had 3 surgeries on my right eye. Not only that my eye pressure was 38 and that was supposed to be noted in my file. I get there and the lighter skin girl has a customer in front of her and then ask me what can she help me with. I tell her I’m here to pick up my contacts. She asks did I order some contacts I tell her no it should be my trial pack. The docter comes out and they converse about it then he goes to the back. She states the docter has ok’d you to order your contacts would u like to. I tell her again no I would like my trial pack that I’m getting text messages to pick up. She then states basically she doesn’t have any in for me. All of this is being done while another customer and their son is sitting in the chairs. I ask her then why am I receiving messages stating that my trial pack is in. She says you had these contacts before it shouldn’t be a problem. I then tell her like I said the last time I was there I done had three surgeries on my eye why would I order a boat load of contacts and they end up not working for me. That makes no sense at all. The darker lady (thank God for her) comes over and goes to the office and grabs my contacts with my name on them and says she called me about them. The lighter skinned lady say well I don’t know about that. And then says to the other lady I didnt know. She says that a few more times. But I leave this review to say If you don’t know something stop acting like you do. Imagine me ordering those contacts like she was pressuring me to do and all along I’m up for another surgery. That would have been so much money wasted. Not only was she very unprofessional and rude she basically didn’t know anything and that came out of her mouth herself. Imagine telling someone you don’t know something after you basically thought you knew it all. We need more people that know what’s going on and can actually care for patients and their privacy. Talking about my business while that man and his son is sitting in the chair was wrong. My business wasn’t their business and having to stand over them to talk to her made no sense to me. She really needs to go back to the drawing board because she has gotten too comfortable. I would have never done that to my patients. You don’t try to pressure me to buy anything. Then you give me the same respect you give the next person. To the other people that chooses to use Walmart optical in cape I wouldn’t Waste my time just wait on your eye doctor. The doctor there is in such a rush it makes you wonder if he even did it right in the first place. Or maybe he just picks and chooses who to rush with.
