Every step from entering the office and being greeted by the receptionist and providing her my insurance and stuff all was flawless. The wait time was less than 5 minutes before I was in a room with one of the assistants to start my eye exam then the doctor came right in after. He was a younger doctor but I really liked how he carried himself explained things and interacted it was all positive and he had the time to answer questions. I would have given this a five-star however to be able to pick out my glasses I felt blocked because of the way they're set up is you cannot just freely browse and try on glasses while you're waiting for that receptionist to help you because you would be intruding in on the other customer space. She was currently helping another customer and getting her glasses and I was sitting there for over 15 minutes and they weren't even close to being done and I got to thinking I still have to try glasses on and find the pair that I like and then go through all the sizing and paperwork it'll be another hour before I get out of here. There is enough room in the front office area to rearrange that so people can try glasses on while they're waiting. So I got my prescription and I left for i did not have time to sit and wait.
My wife and I just had our first appointment with Community Eye Care and it was a very pleasant experience. Very professional, prompt, polite, employees and Doctor had a good sense of humor, and the atmosphere was nice. We will certainly be back for our future needs.
The ladies at the front desk and optical were very nice and friendly! The gentleman who did my work up was just as pleasant! Dr. Windoft was amazing. He was friendly and very knowledgeable. He answered all my questions and explained everything to me. I had a wonderful experience!
Way better then the Jamestown office but I don't like the fact they hold your Pupillary Distance hostage. They tried to tell me it was "not legal" to give me information about my own eyes. After ending the call, I called 7 eye doctors in Pennsylvania and was told it's not illegal but many do it so you can't go buy glasses online or from another retailer. Some will charge a fee for the PD. My old perscription, from another retailer had the PD, but not from Community Eye Care. I would be happy to buy my glasses from you but there's only 2 little sections of options, and they're all $200-$300+.... Not including lenses...Not realistic for a lot of people. Oh and I was blind for 2 days because of Community Eye Care, think they would at least give me my PD for all my troubles. Everything is so expensive... you would think they would want to help their customers save, instead of making more obstacles.
