If you are looking for an eye clinic that can charge your insurance around $300 to “discover” the exact same information you already gave them over the phone, congratulations- this place has perfected that business model. My visit was a complete joke. I explained the issue during the phone consultation, came in expecting actual medical value, and instead got what felt like a very expensive repeat of my own words. Mrs. Patel looked at my eye, offered nothing meaningful beyond what had already been discussed, and somehow that translated into a $300 insurance charge. That is not impressive healthcare. That is a masterclass in doing the bare minimum while billing like something important happened. Now they want me to come back and pay even more money, which is almost laughable. Why would I return for round two when round one felt like paying hundreds of dollars for someone to confirm what I already told them? The whole experience felt lazy, underwhelming, and wildly overpriced. I did not leave feeling cared for, helped, or taken seriously. I left feeling like my insurance was treated better than I was because clearly the billing process got more attention than the patient did. If your goal is to spend money, waste time, and hear your own explanation repeated back to you with a medical bill attached, this clinic may be perfect. If you actually want answers, value, or care that feels remotely worth the cost, I would look elsewhere.

my father in law needs glasses and I expressed concern to the dr that he could read the eye exam- he saw less than 50% of the letters-and he said “he’s 90, that’s good for 90” cannot believe this lack of respect, patience and professionalism.
Wheaton Eye Clinic is a one of a kind Ophthalmology and Optometry masterclass. They have a large group of doctors who cover a vast range of specialties, 6 locations extending across the suburbs of Illinois and of course, friendly and caring medical and clerical staff. Unfortunately for me, my schedule has become increasingly tight which makes it hard to find a time to lineup my appointments with the doctors availability. I am so grateful that the support and scheduling staff has been able to accommodate for my hectic schedule and provide me with additional options to be seen with my doctor. Knowing that my doctor will find time to add me into their already full schedule just to keep me on track with my treatment plan lets me know I am being cared for by good people. One of my favorite things about Wheaton Eye Clinic is the amount of offices they have around the suburbs of Illinois. I live roughly 30 minutes from the main office in Wheaton and my university is about 20 minutes away from another location. Being able to choose between different locations depending on the situation of the day is a privilege I surprisingly I don't get to have at other medical offices. No matter what location I go to, I always get greeted with a smiling face to help guide me to someone who can help me check in. Every front desk employee I have come across is extremely friendly and always is able to brighten my day coming in and leaving the office. Of course, every place you go to you will come across negatives, but the only true negative I have dealt with from Wheaton Eye Clinic is during peak hours the wait times tend to become longer than usual. Although waiting around isn't ideal, this is absolutely something you deal with at other medical offices and honestly this is still the fastest office I come to especially if you consider the capacity of the office.
Wheaton Eye Clinic never disappoints! Smooth sailing great treatment. All of the staff are wonderful. Our entire family has been going to them for years and we’re so happy with the service and care.
My experience at Wheaton Eye Clinic was extremely disappointing, largely because of my interactions with the manager, Kim. Throughout my visit, I felt that Kim had a hostile and unprofessional attitude. Her demeanor made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome, and it often seemed as though she was bringing personal frustrations into the workplace. The atmosphere she created affected both staff and customers and made the clinic feel less professional than I would expect from a healthcare provider. I also observed what appeared to be a significant difference in how certain employees were treated. From my perspective, some staff members received noticeably friendlier and more respectful treatment than others. As a customer, this gave me the impression that employees were not being treated equally, which was concerning to witness. When management sets a negative tone, it impacts the entire customer experience. Patients and employees alike deserve to be treated with respect, professionalism, and courtesy. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this clinic, and I hope leadership takes these concerns seriously and works to create a more respectful environment for everyone.
