Ordered new lenses and frames. Insurance pays for almost everything BUT it takes 3 weeks

This was my first visit to a Wise Eyes. Everyone was very friendly. Dr Roberts was very caring and made me feel at ease. She took her time and explained things to me and answered any questions I had. Lora Neylon helped me pick out some awesome new glasses. She was also very informative and was able to answer all of my questions. It was a great experience and I plan on using Wise Eyes for all my future optical needs. Thank you!

They have always been kinda rude on the phone and in the office but they usually get the job done so I figured it wasn’t a big deal. So when I ordered my contacts a few weeks ago, I originally planned to order a 90 day supply. I have a different prescription for each eye, so when I say 90 day supply, I mean 90 contacts for one eye and 90 contacts for the other eye. So I call to order, they tell me (they always try to upsell you) my insurance covers $150 and if I get a 90 day supply it will be roughly $100 and told me to should get 120 day supply and just pay $50 out of pocket so I wouldn’t lose $50 of my insurance benefit. So I did that, cause I sounded like a good deal. I go to pick my contacts up today and they handed me a 90 day supply. I told them I ordered 120 supply and explained how they talked me into it so I could take “full advantage” of my insurance coverage. The girl at the desk was like “this is 120 contacts” I said “Yes, but it is a 90 day supply because one box is for each eye” She told me I must of misunderstood her on the phone and that she meant I was getting 120 contacts… (Not true because I verified with her multiple times that I have a different rx for each eye and that I was paying $50 extra and I would be getting 120 day SUPPLY) I said “So if I would have only ordered the 90 day supply then I would only be getting contacts for one eye?” At this point my annoyance must have been showing in my voice because two other people came over and proceeded to treat me like I was being completely unreasonable. I just took my contacts and left. I totally feel like I was scammed for my extra insurance coverage. The whole situation makes no sense to me at all. Either way, I don’t recommend them. They have no cute glasses, it’s not really that clean in there, and like I said the staff has never been super friendly even before this.

Some weird woman that works there who I never met, never knew and still dont know anything about was telling people I sent her flowers. Not only did I not but I had been in a relationship for 2 years at the time. It was just awkward. Then my glasses had one lens that was out of focus...I went back and they had another made...it was out of focus the exact same way the other one was. I just dealt with it for a year then went to Central Penn Vision. Central is a much more professional environment at either the Philipsburg store or the State College store and their lenses for progressive-lens glasses have been spot-on for the three pair of glasses we've purchased through them.

The doctor there was very nice, the office is very clean both out front and in with the doctor. The girls there are all very nice, they helped me pick out glasses and gave me their honest opinions on every pair I tried on. Just an overall great experience there with everyone!
