I was not expecting my annual appointment to be $80 when I walked in that morning. It’s usually a $20 copay but was told that there would be another charge for retinal scanning. I was told the charge could be up to $59 depending on my insurance. In the past I was able to opt out but it’s mandatory now no matter the age of the patient. After paying this charge last week I’ll have to pay it again for both of my children who have annual appointments this week. The good news is children are $25 for the scan. I wish this was still optional.

I have been going to Dr. Trego for many years and am extremely happy with his knowledge, advice, follow-up, commitment to excellence, and demeanor as a provider. The staff at this location - Marissa and others - are welcoming, responsive, and compassionate. Highly recommended.

I have been following with Dr. Brown for years and recently had visit with Dr. Trego as well who was excellent. I just do not like the new policy of 60 dollar mandatory retinal scan which is not covered by insurance.

I had an emergency appointment and they got me in super quick, the front desk ladies were super friendly and nice. Made everything so easy and comfortable. The actual doctor was very nice and he explained everything out very well! Highly recommend seeing Nittany eye associates.

Dr. Trego and his intern Esther were exceptionally patient with me as we worked through various contact lens trials to pick the best option for cataract surgery. He explained the options in a practical way and spent extra time as we tried different combinations. I would definitely recommend Dr. Trego.
