This was my first time going to Visionworks. I was a little anxious, but was quickly calmed with my interaction with front of store personnel. The gentleman who did my “pre-test” was wonderful, and the Doctor was was very nice, explained everything to me, and was encouraging. The woman that helped me find a pair of glasses was so friendly and helpful. Will be my go to place for eye exams and glasses
I made my appointment online at the last minute. I went in expecting a somewhat quick appointment. Due to lack of staffing my appointment lasted 1.5 hours. My eye exam was 15 minutes of the 1.5 hours. I was told I had excellent insurance so I was expecting to pay less than I did. I am looking forward to receiving my glasses.
I scheduled online for an eye exam which was easy and efficient. I was apprehensive about the appointment as I haven't always had the best experience other places. I was very pleasantly surprised. Dr. McKelvey was thorough and explained things. He was very calm and nice. It was the best appointment I've had.
I had an appointment for an eye exam at Visionworks The Colonnade at State College that I booked a week in advance. I arrived just 10 minutes late due to traffic, and they refused to see me, even though the place was practically empty. What made it worse was the front desk employee’s attitude. Cold, dismissive, and clearly not interested in helping at all. No effort to accommodate, no basic customer service, nothing. This is not my first time here, but it will definitely be my last. I will cancel my appointment on the spot and won’t be buying glasses from here again. If you care about how you’re treated as a customer, go somewhere else.
The people were all great. From the doctor to the staff that fitted my glasses, to paying for everything. The automatic robot tool, Amelia, is terrible though. But the people were wonderful.
