Wise Family Eye

Dr Wise is great. He’s very knowledgeable and skilled. The staff is very efficient and enthusiastic. The optical department, especially Kathleen, are very professional while being personal and caring. I can’t say enough good things about this office.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was extremely disappointing. My entire family has been coming here for years, and we’ve made the effort to stay loyal patients. I waited over a month for this appointment, coordinating it around a busy work schedule—which is not easy. When I arrived today, I was told there was no doctor available. No real explanation, no accountability. The next available appointment? Over a month away in May. They claimed they tried to call me, saying my phone “wasn’t working,” so instead they left a voicemail on my wife’s phone. No follow-up, no text, and no real attempt to ensure I was actually informed. That’s not acceptable. What made it worse was the attitude. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was met with a rude response: “What do you want me to do, come knock on your door?” Completely unprofessional. After going back and forth, they finally agreed to put me on a cancellation list—but only after I pushed for it, and without any real apology. Not even a basic acknowledgment of the inconvenience. After years of being a loyal patient, this level of service is unacceptable. The doctor may be fine, but the front office staff is the real issue here. Based on this experience—and now seeing similar feedback from others.

There staff have no professional matters. They talk down to people. I would not recommend this office in Galloway.

Not kid friendly at all. I brought my daughter in to see Dr. Wise and within the first few minutes him and a nurse began basically holding my daughter down to dilate her pupils without telling either one of us what they were doing. Before our visit I had promised my daughter I would not let the doctor dilate her pupils because it's a terrible experience for her. I know that you can complete an exam without the dilation. When I told the doctor to stop and that we're not comfortable with the dilation, he became visibly enraged in front of my daughter. He said, "well I don't know why you even came in then." I was actually speechless. He then proceeded to continue his exam and then ended up telling us her eyes are perfect. I honestly think my daughter was a little traumatized after the visit as was I. If you aren't good with children, please don't advertise as an ophthalmologist for children. Terrible place and terrible person.

Starting bringing my daughter here now my whole family goes here. Knowledgable doctor and have never had a bad experience.
