Young Eye Clinic

Doctor Young is very knowledgeable and thorough in his examination, but it is important to note that the clinic’s normal hours of operation are Monday-Thursday, 8-5pm. The hours for Friday are technically for emergencies only, and no appointments or pickups are allowed. Staff might be in-office for a couple hours on Fridays, but this sounds like it’s largely based on scheduling. This is not disclosed unless you talk with one of the staff, but it is important for patients’ awareness, considering most people work 8-5, Monday-Friday and will rely on Google/website hours of operation, or on the hours posted on the clinic door, to plan their errands accordingly.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Young and his team. I had previously seen an ophthalmologist for a PVD but was still having issues, and I didn’t feel like my concerns were being taken seriously. I decided to make an appointment with Dr. Young, and I am so grateful I did. He took the time to truly listen and fully examine my eye, including dilating it - something the prior doctor hadn’t done. Because he was thorough, he discovered a retinal tear and immediately called to get me scheduled for emergency surgery the next morning. If Dr. Young hadn’t taken my concerns seriously and done a complete evaluation, I could have faced a retinal detachment and permanent vision loss. His care, concern, and attentiveness genuinely saved my vision. And his front office staff was incredibly kind, helping me stay calm during a very frightening moment. I highly recommend Young Eye Clinic.
