Advanced Eyecare

Dr. Hand has been my Optometrist since 1991. When he decided to limit his practice to Advanced Eye Care in Iowa City, I left his Cedar Rapids practice to continue with him. At my first visit, I was impressed with both the facilities and the staff at Advanced Eye Care. Same technical capabilities as before. The staff was very pleasant, highly professional and most helpful throughout my visit. I highly recommend Advanced Eye Care. Side note: the prints on the wall in the reception area are wonderfully hilarious!

Dr. Hand and staff are professional, experienced and wonderful to work with. I have been going to him for over 30 years and happily drive over 70 miles to his office. He's an excellent doctor who handles complicated eye problems (my husband's eyes are tricky) very well. Never have had a complaint with the services provided.

Dr. Hand has gone above and beyond to help me with my complicated dry eye issues and was the only eye doctor I'd 0been to who recognized my need for lens prisms. Very knowledgeable and easy to talk with. Great sense of humor. Office staff fluctuates because of college workers but they are always helpful and pleasant.

Excellent service! Highly recommend Advanced Eye Care! I have been going there to get my annual exams for over ten years. Dr. Hand takes a lot of time in performing the exams and explaining the current state of my eyes, what to do to keep them healthy and what to expect as I continue to age. All of their support staff have been professional and pleasant to work with also.

Dr. Hand and staff have always been professional yet personable. I received a comprehensive exam in about an hour. I appreciate that the equipment is up-to-date, especially the device that replaces dilation drops.
