As always, my exam experience was great. The staff is efficient and professional. Every person who tested me introduced herself, was communicative, and guided me through each procedure. Dr. Gray, who diagnosed me a few years ago with an ocular problem, followed up with an exam and explanation that clarified my current situation. I very much appreciate the entire groups' professionalism.

Dr. Gray and his team at Aiken Ophthalmology are absolutely amazing! I was referred and because of the situation was able to come in the same day. Not only that, the place was packed so he fit me into what was already a very busy schedule. After the foreign body was removed from my eye they got my prescription I needed sent over and everyone there was really just nice. Writing this because my quality of life for the two weeks before I went to see Dr. Gray were terrible and I am beyond grateful, the light sensitivity had gotten to the point I could barely stand moment to moment and the relief I have felt in just the first day is beyond words.
Aiken Ophthalmology is a very nice office. Everyone is so nice & helpful. You will get a thorough exam. They are very efficient in their work. Dr. Gray is very professional. He is very easy to understand with what is going on with your eyes. The doctors & staff are wonderful. Pam S.
I have been going to this office for a few years now. The staff are nice and no one has ever been rude to me. My glasses have always been correct. The reason for my poor review is due to a missed diagnosis that could have been caught, or at least suspected, by the two different eye doctors I’ve seen here. I had an appointment over a year ago for eye pain when moving my eye and was diagnosed with uveitis in my left eye. Recently, I went to the North Augusta office with an urgent appointment due to a blurry spot in the center of my left eye / double vision. It was completely disregarded by the tech and doctor. I was given a regular, routine eye exam and glasses prescription. The blurry vision resolved on its own after about 7 days (before my glasses even came in). The eye doctor never mentioned that it could be autoimmune or neurological, and did not refer me to investigate further. After numbness took over my left side within a few months of that appointment, MRIs and spinal tap revealed multiple sclerosis. 15-20% of MS patients present with the same eye related symptoms that I had. Typically striking women in their 30s and 40s. I would suggest to the physicians here to take the complaint of blurry central vision/ eye pain on movement (especially occurring more than one time on the same side) as a sign of something more than just needing glasses or a steroid eye drop. Especially in a female in my age range. I think I could have been diagnosed and treated sooner if I had been told this and referred to neurology. None of the people or physicians here mean any harm I’m sure, it’s just disheartening to know it was a big sign and it was missed and not taken seriously. Eye doctors have the ability to catch this early! Before anyone else will see it or think of it.
The entire staff was extremely professional. The evaluation was thorough and again very professional. And I will continue to visit this practice. I would have given 5 stars but I had a 3:15 appointment and wasn’t called until 4:15. This was my first visit to this office but I had all of the paperwork completed in 5 minutes. I will make certain that I schedule my next visit as early in the day that’s possible.
