I was there today to have my eyes measured for my upcoming cataract surgery. I did not have to wait too long to be called and then the entire day was like a very well oiled machine. Every person I dealt with at each exam was pleasant, knowledgeable and so friendly. Questions were easily answered and all information I will need was printed for me. A thorough discussion about my choices was given and easily understood by me. The doctor allowed me to record what he was telling me so I could share it with my husband. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND AKER KASTEN EYE CENTER for all your eye needs.

Absolutely Amazing Experience! ​I had cataract surgery on my right eye performed by Dr. Jonathan Aker exactly 20 hours ago, and I am absolutely amazed by the results - "White Balance" for My Vision ​If you know anything about cameras, the best way to describe my vision right now is that someone did a "white balance" on my eye. I see perfectly, and white is actually white again. The artificial lens has completely transformed my sight in less than a day. ​The Procedure: Zero Pain, Completely Comfortable ​I was fully awake during the entire surgery, and I did not feel a single thing—no pain, no pressure, and no discomfort. The only sensation was a very refreshing, neutral-temperature flow of water flushing across my eye once or twice. ​Visually, it was fascinating rather than scary. I saw a few abstract lines and a loop come into view, but nothing that caused any concern. I watched the center black circle (which I assume was my cataract-clouded lens) break into four pieces, and then, piece by piece, they disappeared. A minute later, Dr. Aker told me, "We're done. You did very well." ​I never thought I would say this about surgery, but I actually enjoyed the experience of watching the process! ​Thank you so much, Dr. Jonathan, and thank you to your wonderful staff! I could not recommend this practice more highly.

I am incredibly satisfied with my experience at Aker Kasten Eye center. Dr. Anup Kubal was exceptionally skillful and gentle. The result was immediate. On the very first day after surgery, I achieved almost 20/20 vision. I can see vivid colors again, and I am absolutely thrilled! I also especially want to thanks to the entire crew at the center. They provided wonderful, detailed, step by step explanations and examinations throughout the whole process. I felt completely comfortable and cared for. I definitely recommend this eye center to everyone I know who needs eye cares!

Doctor Aker performed cataract surgery on my wife yesterday. It went smoothly and painlessly. He did my eyes last year and it was like I got two brand new eyes. Now, he is a well-known surgeon as well as his father before him, but the key to that practice is the staff. He’s so fortunate to have the most caring, wonderful people who prep you, & make you feel calm and welcome. That is so important when you’re going through any type of medical procedure.
