We’ve been going here for years. We loved the doctor and staff. They were always helpful and informative. Now that they’ve been bought by someone else it hasn’t been a good experience. The three times I’ve gone in the front desk staff aren’t friendly nor helpful in directing you. We still love our doctor, who hasn’t changed. My daughter, who is 19 has gone in by herself, for her exam and contacts they didn’t give her options for different types or price points of contacts. They charged her $800 for daily’s without other options. That’s a steep price for a young adult. I understand she should have questioned it but it’s also their job to be informative and give all options. They gave her a paper to get a rebate back on the contacts. We tried to follow the directions on the paper, it asks for your providers name. This office isn’t listed in the providers to get the rebate. I call to ask what to do, they asked if I tried all these names, which we did plus we tried to put in the address. I was put on hold for her to ask about it. When she came back she told me they’re handed the paper to pass out and they don’t do anything else and to call the support number on the paper.

We had a very positive experience at Alaska Eye Care Center in Wasilla. The entire team was professional and efficient, but I have to give a special shout-out to Theresa, the General Manager. My uncle was very difficult during the visit, and Theresa handled the situation with remarkable patience, kindness, and professionalism. She never made us feel embarrassed or rushed — instead, she stayed calm, compassionate, and focused on making sure we received the care we needed. Her level of understanding and grace under pressure was truly exceptional and went far above what anyone would expect. Thank you, Theresa, and the whole team at Alaska Eye Care Center for turning what could have been a difficult situation into one where we felt genuinely cared for. I highly recommend this office to anyone in the Mat-Su Valley looking for quality eye care with a personal touch.
It is not often that I can say that I enjoyed my eye appointment but Dr Falconer was so thorough and interesting as he explained my eye condition so well and was helpful in his recommendations. The staff were fun as we picked out my eye glasses together, they were great!
I recommend this shop for eyeglasses. My walk-in visit shopping for eyeglasses was worth it. I was not satisfied with the frame selection at my optometrist's office, so I stopped in here. I was happy with the selection of frames and their pricing. The service here was top-notch. I look forward to receiving my new specs.
All was well, but there is 2 things... first though, I think they expanded or did renovations, so it looks good. Everything was fine, friendly staff, doctor, . there is a photothing they do that is not covered by various insurances. So when the doctor told me he was going to do that, I said ok, but I didn't know or it didn't register that he was talking about the same thing that they have a little display explaining the charge . So partly my fault, however, they should have made sure I understood that my insurance did NOT cover it and if I wanted to continue. When checking out, that was when I was told the charge. And uhm... awkward. That particular check out person, I noticed her when I came in and have seen before. I. Sorry, she is not a friendly or approachable looking person and the interaction she had with the gal helping me get glasses made me feel like having to impose on her workload and just the eat she spike to me was condescending and at that point, everything else she said was blah blah blah.. and I never had a chance to tell her I have a hearing disability and I wouldn't want to impose. It takes alot for me to feel "off put" by someone. Anyways, everything else was fine. The optometrist made sure I understood everything, as I do ha e some issues with my eyes, And the cheery gal who helped me pick my glasses was nice.
