We have been going here since we moved about a year ago and have always received the best care! The staff is awesome, very friendly, welcoming and understanding. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted with smiling faces. We have seen both Dr. Chung and Dr. Cao and they both listen to all of our needs and concerns. They are both very insightful and answer any and all questions that you may have during your visit. Thank you Focal Optometry!

Overall, I had a great experience here for a comprehensive eye exam. I was super impressed by how thorough the exam was and how modern their technology is. Getting to actually look at the images of my eye health was really cool and informative. The staff was also incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful when I ran into an issue with trial lenses later on. My only real issue was with the contact lens fitting. When I scheduled, I specifically requested just the standard eye exam because I am already happy with my current contacts and did not want or need a fitting. I was told that was totally fine and they would leave it off my appointment. Unfortunately, that message didn't make it to the back. After my exam, the optometrist took me over to try a new brand of contacts. I explained what I had discussed with the front desk beforehand, but I still felt pretty pressured into trying them anyway. Unsurprisingly, the new lenses didn't agree with my eyes at all, so I ended up paying $135 for a service I asked not to have, for a product that didn't even work for me. The care, staff, and tech here are awesome, but they definitely need better communication between scheduling and the doctor so patients aren't pushed into unnecessary add ons.

Focal optometry is by far the best vision care office. From the extremely pleasant and attentive staff to the caring, knowledgeable doctors. They always do their best to accommodate even difficult schedules. Every visit has been informative and helpful. From the time you walk in the door and are greeted by smiling staff to the techniciansdoing your testing who engage with pleasant conversation to the doctors who take the time to actually listen and work hard to ensure your needs are met. I had my first visit at Focal Optometry on July 20, 2026 as a referral from my previous optometrist after she closed her practice. Her referral was spot on! The office was modern, clean and professionally laid out well, and with plenty of available parking. The front-desk staff was friendly and professional. My new optometrist, Dr. Cao, was very professional, pleasant, knowledgeable, and was more than happy to answer all my questions. In addition, I liked all the new diagnostic "gadgets" they had that I have never encountered before, especially the virtual reality devices, and how much more automated and quantitative the overall diagnostic process is now. And lastly, their cost for services and eye wear (I got a year's supply of non-standard contact lens) were competitive with the costs I had to pay before (with and without insurance). So, overall I would certainly recommend them and I will be making a return visit for my next annual eye checkup for sure!

They didn’t tell me my routine eye exam with a contact lens fitting cost $125 now even with my insurance because they try to “simplify the process” for customers. I had to argue with the front desk lady, even show her receipts from the past year that it’s $40 copay. Then she went on and said I should’ve paid more last year… I’ve been going here for the third year now, but I’m not going anymore. The doctors are friendly and easy with work with, Just be aware of the fee and ask ahead of time even if you have eye insurance.
