Altig Optical

I have been going to Altig since I was a child (i'm almost 30 now). They are always so kind and friendly. Front desk always has a smile on their face. Dr. Altig has jokes and is the best eye doctor around. I trust them to take such good care of my eyes. 1000% recommend them to anyone and everyone!

I’ve been coming to this office for years, and every visit has been a great experience. The staff is always courteous, respectful of your time, and incredibly prompt. The doctors are kind, professional, and very thorough, taking the time to make sure all of your questions are answered. A special shout-out to Eliana! She goes above and beyond every time I need new glasses. She has an amazing eye for what looks best on your face and is always honest about what works and what doesn’t. I completely trust her expertise, and I’ve never been disappointed with her recommendations. I highly recommend this office to anyone looking for exceptional eye care. The entire team is wonderful, and Eliana’s knowledge and customer service are truly outstanding!

Today was a huge disappointment that started with "Mexlee" who was openly rude and unprofessional to me at the front desk. (My family have been loyal patients of Dr. Altig for more than 15yrs, so I can attest this is uncharacteristic behavior from their OG staff and caught me off guard) We had 3 appointments scheduled 2:30, 2:45, and what I thought was a 3:30pm for myself. Upon our arrival I was upset regarding an unrelated issue so I delayed walking into the office until I calmed down. When I came in to check in I was told that I was a "NO SHOW" and that I would not be seen today, becauseI wasn't here. 🤷‍♀️ Her tone was irritated as if I personally had done something to offend her, and instead of being helpful and proactive, Mexlee chose to be rude and curt with me. When I asked her to take me to my son's exam room she reluctantly walked me to the back hallway and flicked her hand in a general direction that was not even the correct room. Like, really? Mexlee lacks the professional and courteous treatment that Dr. Altig's staff have always greeted me and my family with. Mexlee had zero kindness or understanding available to offer this frazzled mother of 3. (Kindness and respect can go so far, especially when dealing with full-time caregivers of special needs children) We usually order everything here in person, but it looks like another provider will be getting all of the scripts for us this year. -_- ** I added 2 stars because I truly appreciate Dr. Altig coming in to speak with me personally about the lack of respect and care shown by this staff member. * I truly hope Mexlee has a better day tomorrow, because she ruined mine with her tone and flippant behavior by speaking to me like she didn't care at all if my family and I go elsewhere, which is exactly what we will do in the future to avoid being treated this way again.

The young lady who did all my preliminary testing was very kind and personable (I don’t get her name) I enjoyed talking with her, she explained everything very well and moved me through the testing effortlessly. First time meeting Dr Gray, she is wonderful! She doesn’t rush you, answers all your questions and is funny too! Great visit, wonderful front desk ladies, and the finance ladies in back were helpful and nice as well. My entire family goes to this office, yours should too!

As soon as I walked in the door the staff was very friendly and organized. Have been coming to Altig Optical for years and have always been very happy. Dr Gray was thorough and answered all my questions. The young lady that helped me choose new frames found exactly what I wanted.
