I recommend this place to someone because my mother had a good experience. Today, was the total polar opposite. The front desk and technitions were nice, and the Information that was given to the person that I recommended this place to, was useful. The doctor was very rude, and basically said that there eyes were never going or get better, and there was nothing that could be done. I feel so bad recommending this to this person, when my mother had a previously good experiance. I don't know if it was the singular doctor, or if this is comman.

We go to Americans best because it's where we always go. It's where my son is comfortable with getting his glasses. We do have issues with getting notifications for when glasses are ready. They will send emails and text and call to get surveys and encourage you to come back but not a message that your glasses are in and ready for pick up. Most of the staff is nice there have been a time or two over the years that the dr has not been very great and could benifit from so training on bedside manner. The prices are ok they run deals like 2 for $89 and a free exam but you'll never pay that low even if you don't get all the bells and whistles for you glasses and have insurance I've never walked out paying under $100.
AVOID AT ALL COST!! Now let me tell you my fiance and I both went for contact and glasses exam. This his being the first time he has ever been for an eye exam so he had no idea what to expect. I have had glasses on and off my whole life so I knew something was off when he went in for his test and was completely done in 5 minutes... Told him his eyes are to bad for contacts but still charged him for the contact and glasses exam!! He picked the 2 pairs for $95 and LaShonda ( or something) didn't do any measurements, ask him if he wanted plastic lens or the step up, didn't offer any coatings, and didn't give him his bifocal requirements just simply gave him single lenses. He called to see if his glasses were in once and stopped by the office the day before they said the glasses would be ready because he was on his way home from work and they told him his glasses hasn't even shipped and it would probably be 2 more weeks.. so he called customer service the next day and they said the location signed for your glasses yesterday so he went to pick them up and the lady's told him again they did NOT have them..... He informed them that customer service already told them they received the order and only thing they could say was "you called customer service" full of anger the woman ronda got someone in the back who found the glasses instantly... As for my prescription of glasses and contacts Well ITS WRONG!!!
I purchased one pair of glasses in June. I had issues with them, however, each time I had them worked on I had to return for more work. After four weeks I asked for a refund, it wasn't a problem. Each association was helpful, but not efficient or experienced.
Took my son here yesterday for an eye exam and to order glasses. From start to finish this place sucked. They did add on testing which he agreed to but the useless Dr did not go over the results and the paperwork he was given actually said the test was inconclusive, what a joke if it didn’t work repeat the test. Then we waited 40 minutes before he was able to order his glasses and pay. We were originally ordering the product with I believe her name was Allison? Could be wrong but anyway while he was talking to her another girl said that “Allison” had a phone call she actually got up walked away and had this other girl take over that was rude take a damn message and she could have called them back, however much to my surprise when she was on the phone with the patient she was rude and raising her voice which lead to the patient being upset. She finally told the customer that she couldn’t talk to her any longer because she was being rude so the patient would have to call customer care. They were all dressed like slobs and professional looking either which is not a good look for a patient based company. The man that did my sons exam was ok. Dr should be more verbal about the results I actually had to ask if my son had a astigmatism and he said yes, why didn’t you tell us this in the room! The eye place that we usually use moved to west county so we decided to give this place a try, NEVER AGAIN. I was appalled by this business and staff especially being a medical office manager myself this was a clown show. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
