I visited America's Best in Lexington today because I tried to go to another location yesterday but I had an eye infection. Dr. Serrano was great. He was very personable, and good at what he does. He gave me clear instructions as to how I can improve my condition. He upped my prescription slightly after it had been at the same level for the last decade... Which was good because I knew it needed to go up a little too. He really knows what he's doing! And then I had the pleasure of speaking to Victoria, who is one of the most professional and helpful people I've met in a very long time. She helped me get what was best for me, and she was super friendly throughout the entire process. I've been to a few different locations throughout the years, but this visit was different. I was EXTREMELY impressed with the operation they are running over there. They make it look like they actually care about what they're doing!

Quick Summary - Overall experience was below satisfactory, customer service was great in the beginning and took a sharp decline after my money was spent. Buyer’s beware! Detailed Summary: I visited this location (5135 Sunset Blvd, Lexington, SC) on March 10, 2025, for an eye exam and to purchase glasses. The exam process was smooth, and Victoria (possibly the manager) was fantastic—super kind, helpful, and made frame selection easy. I spent $275 on two pairs and was advised to have them shipped to the store for a proper fitting. Big mistake. My receipt stated they’d be ready by March 20, but it’s now nearly April, and I still don’t have them. I’ve called multiple times (3/21, 3/25, 3/27) and kept getting the same response: “We have a lot of boxes to unload; we’ll call, text, and email when your order arrives.” None of that ever happened. No follow-up, no accountability whatsoever. It’s unacceptable that I had to chase down my order, especially for something as essential as prescription glasses. Terrible communication and unreliable service. Avoid this location if you need your glasses on time!

Everyone was so patient with the process of teaching me to put contacts in and take them out . The entire staff was great. Very personable even down to remembering first names every time I was there which was several times. The manager Victoria spent a lot of time helping and explaining all of my options also and I would highly recommend this store and their staff

Save yourself time and effort, go any where else. I scheduled an appointment weeks out, waited 2.5 hours only to get told that I would most likely not get seen and need to reschedule since it was almost 8pm. I decided to go ahead and reschedule. I tried to give them a second chance but ended up waiting 2 hours again, while they reset my place in the queue twice, before just leaving. Save yourself a headache and find a different place to go.

I called to order contacts, but wound up needing an appointment. The sweet woman on the phone, Angie, was super nice, quick, and eager to accommodate my scheduling needs. Forever grateful for the outstanding service, and it went a long way to make my day brighter.
