Poor quality in the manufacturing of the lenses........Liked the frames I purchased. Bebe frames. Even though I have insurance my out of pocket was 227.00. I don't wear my glasses often as I wear contact lenses on a daily basis. Recently I was put on a steroid eye drop and unable to wear my contacts. I've been solely reliant on my glasses. I noticed a white area (looked like wax paper?) in the glass but you cant feel it. I took them into Americas Best where I purchased them and spoke with Kaye (the manager). She said right away "oh that is an AR defect" lets get that taken care of. She had me take a seat and I asked if she wanted my original receipt but she said she would just look me up which she did. She said she was unsure how to do the paper work part so she went and got Helen. Helen said they couldn't do anything for me as I used my insurance. I didn't understand. I looked at their sign which shows a year protection with each purchase package and it says nothing about using insurance or not, plus ......don't you back your own product? This wasn't something I did to the glasses. I just want you to repair what seems to be poor quality in your manufacturing. Needless to say I learned my lesson with them and they've lost the yearly business of my whole family. I'm sure they could care less but I hope I can reach others so they don't run into the same problems with them as I did. I filed a complaint with Americas Best but have yet to hear back so I filed a complaint with the BBB. Sad that they've joined the ranks in my book of businesses that don't stand behind their product or care for their customers.

Dont expect any service once you get your order filled. Glasses were ready for our daughter who lives near Eureka Ca after 5 days. Asked to have glasses mailed to her, which staff agreed to. 2 weeks later, no glasses were received, called and the glasses were still in the store. Went to this business for the expedited making of the glasses as her pair were broken and barely wearable, so was needing them in a hurry. She will recieve them in about a month now that I have picked them up and sent them USPS priority. And dont expect to get the $79.95 for 2 pairs with eye exam. Her total was $170 plus over $100 in insurance coverage. Go to Costco if possible
I chose to give America's Best a try because of their offer of a free eye examination and 2 pair of glasses for one low price. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The Optometrist even allowed me to see what my vision would be through my new prescription lenses. I ended up paying for the exam because I opted to buy just a single pair of glasses with all the"extras" I needed for a fair price. Buying 2 pairs at that price would have been cost-prohibitive. All in all, I enjoyed my experience. Much better service than LensCrafters!
Poor organization. Had an appointment with them (with Dr. Luong) back in September and was told I couldn't get a contact prescription without trying on the contacts with the doctor present even though I had contacts in the past, she said she would order some for me to try on and they'd call me in 2 weeks. I went the rest of September and all of October without hearing back at all. I finally decided to call them Nov. 7th and they told me the contacts were never ordered and they were in fact closing this location and moving to Castro Valley in 2 weeks. If I hadn't called they wouldn't have informed me of any of this. If this is how the company is run in general I wouldn't recommend their CV location either. Try Costco, it's cheap and least you know they won't close down on you without notice.
My family is a returning customer last three years, always happy with offers and service. Today we had an emergency, broken frame at 6.30pm. I called, we found similar frame, I came at 6.45pm and at 7.00pm I was driving home with new eyeglasses! Frame on sale and no charge for glasses replacement! Thank you so much. See you soon!
