A service designed to take your money, since without knowing this in advance, you go in thinking the exam is free, but if you don’t want your plastic, limited-vision lenses, you still have to pay another $69 to $90 for the eye exam anyway. Disappointing. I accompanied my mother to get her glasses after seeing the “two pairs for $95” offer. Everything went fine. We were attended quickly, they weren’t rude and although the equipment didn’t seem very advanced and there weren’t many eyewear options, it was okay. Or so I thought until it was time to pay. After choosing the glasses, my mother and I stood there for a long time because no one seemed to attend us. After a while, one of the employees finally seemed to notice us, only to tell us that the lenses included in the deal were plastic. Yes, PLASTIC. And not only that, but they were made so that you could only see clearly in the center; the edges were uncorrected plastic. I asked why the offer didn’t say that, and she said it did. After looking, I found that way down, in small print, it said: “The 2 for $95 offer includes frames tagged $79.95 with single-vision uncoated plastic lenses only.” The employee literally told me, "That's how we make more money."
