As a lifelong glasses wearer this is the only location I will come to for frames or exams. Brittany and Ashely at the front helped make my experience great! They were fun and personable and answered all my questions. Dr. Kawasaki was quick and to the point, which made the exam efficient and painless. The location is always clean and they run a tight ship, my 11:00 appointment was finished by 11:15 and I didn’t feel rushed. Highly recommend!!

I had such a great experience at America’s Best! Ashley helped me the whole time and she was honestly the sweetest. She was so patient with me while I was picking out my glasses and made the whole process feel easy and stress-free. You can tell she really cares about helping people and making sure you leave happy. I cannot say enough wonderful things about America’s Best on Tatum Boulevard. I have been coming to this location for years, and there is a reason I continue to come back — the level of care, kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail is truly exceptional. I came in for my contact lens eye exam, and from beginning to end, the entire experience was outstanding. Verik, my technician, was wonderful — professional, patient, thorough, and made the entire testing process comfortable and easy. Dr. Kawasaki was absolutely fantastic. She was kind, knowledgeable, thorough, and took the time to make sure everything was explained clearly and that my prescription and eye health were properly addressed. I never felt rushed, and I truly appreciated the level of care she provided. And then there is Ashley, the sales associate — I honestly don’t even know if words can do her justice. She is hands-down one of the BEST customer service professionals I have ever encountered, not only at America’s Best, but anywhere. She is incredibly kind, patient, attentive, knowledgeable, genuine, and truly cares about helping people. She went above and beyond throughout the entire visit and made the whole experience even better. You can tell immediately that she doesn’t simply “do her job” — she genuinely cares about the people she is helping. The world truly needs more people like Ashley. She is an incredible asset to this location, and I hope management recognizes what an exceptional employee they have. What keeps me returning to this particular America’s Best is how caring and detail-oriented the entire team is. They listen, they explain everything, they never make you feel rushed, and they treat you like a person rather than just another appointment. Thank you to Verik, Ashley, Dr. Kawasaki, and the entire team for continuing to provide such an amazing experience year after year. Update: I wanted to update my original review because I believe it’s important to recognize when a business makes a genuine effort to correct a bad experience. After my original Yelp and Google reviews, Ashley contacted me to discuss everything that had happened. She invited me back to see a different doctor for a completely new eye exam. Whether or not she fully understood my experience, I truly appreciated that she took the time to listen and reach out. Today I had my appointment with Dr. Wynn, and all I can say is she was incredible. She gave me the most thorough eye exam I have ever had. She took the time to discuss my previous experience, listened carefully to my concerns, and never made me feel rushed. She actually built different lens combinations in the office for me to try, had me walk around, sit at a desk, read a computer screen, and read printed paperwork to make sure my prescription worked in real-life situations—not just in the exam chair. I was genuinely amazed by her level of care and attention to detail. After my exam, Ashley took care of reordering all three pairs of my glasses. Although I’ll have to wait another couple of weeks for them to arrive, I finally feel optimistic that I’ll be able to see comfortably. My original experience was extremely frustrating, and I stand by the concerns I had. However, I also believe great customer service is about how a company responds when something goes wrong. Ashley and Dr. Wynn took my concerns seriously, treated me with kindness and respect, and worked hard to make things right. I’m hopeful these new glasses will finally solve the problem, and I truly appreciate the effort they made. To begin, Dr. Kawasaki (if I’m spelling that correctly) was disappointing. She seemed rushed, unfriendly, and didn’t really listen to my concerns. During the exam she told me I had dry eye and asked if I sometimes had trouble focusing. When I was trying to answer, it felt like she was rushing through the lens comparisons before I had enough time to actually focus and compare them. I left feeling unheard and will not schedule another exam with her. On a positive note, the woman who helped me purchase my glasses was wonderful. I ordered three pairs, and she was friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely helpful. She was the highlight of my entire experience. Unfortunately, everything went downhill when I picked up my glasses. I could not see properly out of any of the three pairs. Not one. The gentleman with the gray hair and beard who assisted me was extremely condescending. He repeatedly tried to convince me that I could see correctly through the lenses when I clearly could not. At one point I had to step outside, calm down, and come back in because I was so frustrated. Eventually, he agreed to send all three pairs back to the lab. When I asked if I should see the doctor again, he told me no and said he was licensed and would make the necessary adjustments himself. His confidence was impressive, but unfortunately the results were not. At my second pickup appointment, the problems still weren’t resolved. I still cannot comfortably read with my reading glasses, and the sunglasses make me nauseated when I wear them. Now I have to return for a third visit, and honestly, I’m dreading it. I spent $256 and still don’t have a single pair of glasses I can comfortably wear. Between the poor exam experience, the dismissive treatment, and multiple failed attempts to correct the issue, I can confidently say: never again.

Ashley at America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses took great care of me with my glasses! I recently moved to Scottsdale and used to go all the way to Tempe, so having a location much closer has been amazing. Ashley was helpful, professional, and made the whole process easy and stress-free. Really appreciate the great customer service — definitely happy I switched to this location!
