America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses

The optometrists here are great. Their selection of eyewear is also pretty good. When I ordered contacts online, however, the store was of no help. Due to some technical error, my contacts were never shipped, and I had to re-order contacts from the store. They didn't order the price I had already been quoted (even though they did that in the past), and they also rejected my request to get a few store brand lenses to turn me over, since I had been without contacts for weeks at this stage. Staff informed me that "they couldn't do that" since I didn't wear that brand. That's funny, 'cause they've done that the last 3-4 times I was there. If there's one thing I can't stomach it's being lied to by people who take my money, and that's what happened to me this morning. Fail.

Scheduled my appointment during the Dr’s LUNCH BREAK. Was informed I had to wait in the waiting room for 20 minutes with no contacts in- BLIND, while the doctor ate her lunch. So RUDE AND WILDLY UNACCEPTABLE. My time is just as valuable if not more. Never coming here again.

I had an excellent experience at the American Best Contacts & Eyeglasses location at 5818 Santa Monica Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90038. Frank provided outstanding service—he went above and beyond to assist me when I needed help. Unlike my experience at the Beverly Hills location, where I was told they don’t send glasses to their laboratory, Frank and his team resolved my issue immediately. Thanks to them, my glasses now fit perfectly and no longer break. Their customer service is exceptional, and the staff is highly knowledgeable about eyewear. I highly recommend this location to anyone in need of reliable and professional optical care.

I love the staff from the receptionist to the optometrist and everyone in between. Unfortunately the final product wasn’t good for me. I wanted reading glasses and perhaps I should’ve been more specific as I read off of a computer. Reading my phone was ok but that’s it. I went back and again super nice no questions asked. New glasses took a lil longer but no problem. I learned they outsource the glasses to Mexico. Finally my glasses were ready I picked them up and alls fine. I get to work and alls blurry on my computer screen and my phone now though looking far is nice, clear and bright. Again super nicely they asked me to comeback within 7 days for any adjustments but at this point I’ve given up. I say give them a try as perhaps mine is an isolated case.

Dr M was incredibly helpful and informative. Only $95 for two pairs of glasses and an eye exam is a steal.
