America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses

My daughter and I went in because she refuses to give up her old glasses. Ive gone here in the past with her older sister and I knew the selection choice is enough to blow away any kids mind. So we walk in and I thought there were 2 customers waiting at the desks. We spent a good 5 minutes or so trying on all the glasses when I realized the two guys were actually workers just scrolling quietly thru their phones. Never looking up. Never are you finding everything ok? Any questions? Nada. A family came in and one guy did ask if they needed help and took them to the back, but the other guy just sat there. I kept looking at him, but nothing. The first guy came back. Nothing. Back to the phone. Another 5 more minutes. Finally my daughter did find 2 glasses and I took pics of them and the bar codes. Then I loudly said we would go to another store because no one was helping us. No one could even say hello. It looked like the guy in the blue shirt smirked. Nice. I looked at my Life 360 and I spent 15 minutes in there. Also the guy in the red shirt needs a bigger shirt. Maybe Machesney Park is better. Maybe just another chain.

Got my new glasses about 1 week ago. One lense had a small scratch on it when they came in, so they reordered that lense. The lenses are supposed to have anti scratch coating on them but I now have more scratches on my glasses just from cleaning them with their lense cloth. Apparently they charge you for special coatings but don't put them on. I'm very disappointed in this. They WILL fix this and I won't go there again. The guy that helped me with the purchase also said the coating has "blue blocker", no it does not!

i’ve been coming here since i moved to rockford, i’ve waited 30 minutes to be seen before and never complained but today i was 10 minutes late bc of another appointment, i called before and told them i was on my way and that i was going to be late and they said it was fine within 10 minutes. then i get there at 1:09 because i checked when i walked in and they said they couldn’t see me. it’s empty in there and they said they couldn’t do it. honestly go to machesney they are nicer, easier to work with don’t go here.

On march 5th I had my appointment scheduled for 9:40 and I showed up 20 minutes early and was seen right away. My eye exam was finished before my scheduled appointment. Mari was the working the front desk and the one who took care of me after my exam was finished. She was very friendly and informative. The other two who took care of me during the eye exam were great too, I just dont know their names. On top of the great customer service the eye exams are cheaper here than anywhere else. They also price match.

Great customer service. Mari was very helpful and attentive and helped with any questions I had about my glasses. Highly recommend
