I had an excellent experience at America's Best in Glen Burnie. From the moment I walked in, the entire staff was friendly, professional, and incredibly helpful. The receptionist, Bailey, made me feel welcome right away, and the outstanding service continued throughout my visit. My technicians, Dion and Ariana, took the time to answer all of my questions and ensured I was comfortable during the process. Tamekia was especially helpful in assisting me with finding frames that fit both my style and budget, and she made the checkout process smooth and stress-free. I was also impressed that the manager, Baron, took the time to stop by during checkout to make sure I was completely satisfied with my experience. [best | Outlook] The office was clean, organized, and efficient, and I never felt rushed. The team provided outstanding customer service from start to finish and made the entire experience enjoyable. I highly recommend America's Best in Glen Burnie to anyone looking for quality eye care, affordable eyewear, and exceptional customer service. Thank you to the entire team for such a wonderful experience

Had a very great experience. First time getting glasses and contacts by myself. They took care of me. The experience was super informative. Friendly staff with great customer service. Chirrell in particular was wonderful - super patient with me getting my contacts in and really made sure I got the best service possible.
I tore my last contact and I was getting ready to go on vacation leaving in 2 weeks. I went in and was helped out by Chirrell. She was amazing. She got my contacts ordered. I was worried if they would come in time. She checked and they had a trial pair that she gave me. She looked up my insurance made sure that we could use it and got me out of there in less than half an hour. I cannot say enough good things about Chirrell.
0 stars. I am very disappointed with my recent experience at America’s Best. When I purchased my glasses, I was told that I would be receiving new glasses. After waiting approximately two weeks and driving 40 minutes to pick them up, I was surprised to find that the frames had sticker residue, dirt, and what appeared to be a crack or repair on the side. When I asked about it, the employee assisting me was kind and consulted with the manager, who stated that it was not a crack. Because I previously had a negative experience with another optometrist where I was given frames that were not truly new and later experienced skin irritation and premature wear, I specifically asked whether these frames were new or had been on display. After further questioning, I learned that the frame I received was, in fact, the display frame that customers had been trying on. My frustration is not that the frame came from the clearance section. My frustration is that this was never clearly disclosed to me when I made the purchase. During my eye exam and frame selection, Cheryl informed me that I would be receiving new glasses. Cheryl is a good salesperson, but I wish she had been transparent from the beginning that the frame itself would be the display model with only new prescription lenses installed. In fact, I was specifically told that I would be receiving a new frame and new glasses. Had I been given accurate information from the start, I could have made an informed decision. To resolve the issue, I felt pressured to purchase a different frame and spend even more money. Between the original purchase and the additional charges, I ended up spending nearly the same amount I would have paid for a brand-new frame from the beginning. I explained to Marisa, who processed the transaction, that I had originally been told I would receive a new frame. Despite this, the situation was handled in a way that felt dismissive rather than understanding. I was told that shipping would be “free,” but shipping only costs $5. Considering the additional amount I was charged for the replacement frame, waiving a $5 shipping fee did not feel like a meaningful accommodation or resolution. Given the extra money I spent, I do not feel that I received any reasonable compensation for the inconvenience ( cause with the new price, shipping was covered). More importantly, I felt that my concerns regarding transparency and product condition were not taken seriously. Customers deserve transparency. If display frames are being sold, that should be clearly disclosed before payment. They should also be thoroughly cleaned, inspected, and presented in excellent condition before being dispensed to customers. I have been a loyal customer and drove all the way to the Glen Burnie location because of that loyalty. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling misled, disappointed, and undervalued as a customer. I hope management reviews its communication practices, disclosure policies, and customer service standards so that future customers can make fully informed decisions and avoid a similar experience. I would also appreciate a review of my case and consideration of a more appropriate resolution given the circumstances.
** Misleading prices quote/info ** I was informed on the phone when calling several eye glass companies, to include America Best, that if I bought a second pair, I would receive 40% off second pair; therefore, when I chose America Best over others, it was due to the 40% off on second pair. However, after scheduling and having eye exam completed, was told the 40% was only for those using insurance (which seemed to be discriminating at best). This stipulation was NOT mentioned when I called to get price estimates when deciding among other options. Unfortunately, since we had already had exam, felt obligated to move forward, despite being able to get a better price elsewhere, since the 40% discount informed up front was not honored during purchase. I spoke/expressed concern with the "new" manager (apparently who moved from another store) said he had been there about 10 days, and they are trying to get everyone trained or something to that affect (to avoid giving out incorrect or not clarifying customer info), and apologized; however, did not offer the advertised 40% for 2nd pair or any less discount due to this internal communication error with new client. Therefore, I decided it was best to share this negative experience via a Google review to caution potential new customers that purchase America Best glasses. If you don't have insurance, you are discriminated against and NOT offered same discount of 40% to those insured. This can affect lower income clients that cannot afford vision insurance. I highly recommend considering other eye glass clinics/stores (Walmart, Sam's Club, others), if you don't have insurance, to avoid this discriminating factor (have insurance, receive 40% discount, don't have insurance no 40% discount). The one positive, the technician and optometrist were professional and kind. America Best leadership should allow their supervisors on site to have flexibility to work with clients when incorrect info was communicated to new client (even, compensating 10% versus 40%) as a gesture for lack of trained sales representatives that answer the phone. I will need to reconsider becoming a long term American Best client based on this experience. Recommend America Best, when it offers discounts, to NOT discriminate based on clients status (e.g. insured or uninsured). You would think America Best would prefer to provide discount to those less fortunate that do not have the luxury of vision insurance.
