I was happy to see that Michael was there when I arrived. I have worked with him in the past and he’s very knowledgeable, friendly, and explains things well. What a great asset to your company he is. I highly recommend this place to my friends and family because of people like him.

Insurance change, this one recommended. My first (and last) time at America's Best. This was an annual checkup. The dr asked me for my glasses; I said I don't wear glasses or contacts. He was writing & continued with more questions about my glasses; I repeated I do not wear glasses, not a good listener. He did his test with the multiple lenses, told me I urgently need cataract surgery. After repeating that statement I asked how soon is "urgent" -1 to 3 yrs, hmmm. I've heard that for years but previous dr says we watch & wait. When finished he sent me to look at frames. I didn't. I checked out, went home & looked at the paper - no diagnosis so I called & the girl at front desk told me I'm at 20/22 in both eyes. I've been 20/20 for years so this is not far off, certainly no need for glasses. Is he a dr or a salesman? He failed at both & I certainly do not recommend. Going back to MNP.

The staff at this store is exceptional. Incredibly polite. The assistant manager did a temple repair. He made quick work of it and didn’t seem bothered by a non-revenue visit. Very rare experience.

I showed up for my doctor’s appointment about 20 minutes early. I had changed my appointment time and knew since this was my first visit I would need to fill out paperwork and get insurance info taken care of. The lady at the desk asked for my information and social for insurance. She said hmmm I’m not finding anything to which I replied oh that’s weird let me see if I can log in and get you a copy of the card. She sighed and kept looking at the computer. I apologized for it taking me a few minutes to get her the information and she sweetly said no problem. Approximately a minute later she stands up and looks at the other girl and said I have to go to the back so if she actually finds her insurance info will you help her. Wow.. talk about feeling small. She left and I found the information and gave it to the other lady. She starts yelling to other people does anyone have the insurance login info? They finally got it figured out and told me to go pick out frames while waiting for the exam. Once I was called back everything is virtual. We had to sit and wait for a doctor to pick up my case. It was pretty short and sweet. I hadn’t previously worn glasses but knew I needed some so hearing him say you need bifocals wasn’t a surprise. I then went back to pick out frames. The lady who had originally helped me was in the room with me while I seen the eye doctor. When we came out of the room she looked at I’m assuming her boss and said very sarcastically Can I please go to lunch now? Apparently I was delaying her. Once I was finished finding frames a young man helped me that is one of the managers. Not the greatest bed side manner. He tried to sell me a couple different options that ranged from $67-$400. I said I can’t do the $400 option right now and he said okay, pulled his book back and started typing. Gave me a total and said glasses will be here in 10-14 days. I finally went back in to pick up my glasses and the same young man helped me. He gave me the glasses. I put them on and he gave me a card to read. I wasn’t really sure what I was supposed to do because he didn’t specify so I said looks good. Took the glasses off he put them in a case and said if you need adjustments just come back. And that was it. I wasn’t in the store even 10 minutes. This location needs a customer service training session. Maybe try treating your paying customers with respect and not an inconvenience. This was first time using this location and will definitely be my last. Glasses are not cheap and Im going to spend my money at a business that appreciates it.

*EDIT UPDATED* So my glasses ended up coming in earlier than expected, 1 week from my exam and i was really pleased with the results of how my glasses turned out and the speed in which they came in. Still don't have contacts but i did receive an email that the trials have been shipped. I never had a problem with staff they were all friendly and helpful so I'm bumping up a couple stars. I will go back in the future. my first time going there Doctor Wheeler gave a quick and what I felt like was a good an thorough eye exam. Some wires must have got crossed because I specifically told them I wanted glasses and contacts multiple times before and during my appointment but was told that the doc wasn't informed about my interest in contacts and that he was out to lunch and they would set me up later. My order is already met with delays so already not as quick as other places I've been to. Somewhat disappointed already, I might add a star or two depending on how the glasses turn out when I eventually get them.
