Where do I start? 🤦🏽♀️ I understand trying to be efficient, but whatever system is being used here just isn’t working. I had appointments for myself, my son, and my daughter at 11:30 a.m. at the Raeford Road location. We didn’t get called back until around 1:30 p.m. After finally getting into the exam room, we were told we had to wait for the virtual doctor to join. So technically… you’re still waiting. At this point, we’ve been here for over two hours, and only one out of the three of us has been seen. Scheduling multiple appointments for one family should make the visit more convenient, not turn it into an all-day event. What makes this even more frustrating is that I work in healthcare, so I understand that delays happen and schedules can get backed up. But this isn’t just a delay—it’s an inefficient process. If patients are still waiting hours after their scheduled appointment time and then have to wait again for a virtual provider, the workflow clearly needs improvement. The staff has been polite, but the wait times and overall process need serious attention. If you have an appointment here, be prepared to spend much longer than expected.

The staff and overall atmosphere were friendly, and the technicians did a great job. My biggest issue wasn’t with the employees—it was with the process and the quality of the product. I had to wait much longer than expected because of technology and processing delays, which made the experience feel far less convenient than it’s advertised to be. It also took over a week to receive my glasses. What disappointed me the most was the quality. After only four months of normal use, the finish on the lenses started peeling off. I’ve worn glasses for years and have never had that happen before. In fact, I’ve had much less expensive glasses ordered online that lasted for years without any issues. The staff was kind, but I expected much better quality and a more efficient experience for the price.
So, walking in the door ,I'm greeted by a person named Lisa, after the 50 minute ride from Lumberton, I really needed to use the restroom, I asked her where the restroom was and it was like I said nothing. She asked me what I was here for and I said an eye exam, and I asked where the restroom was again and like I wasn't even talking , she asked me my name, then insurance. Holding off the urge to pee myself, I said " I believe my wife took care of all this on line" ,and a gain, it wasn't like I wasn't even talking. There was then some confusion as to what I was covered for ,so as I'm calling my wife to get clarification on the coverage, Lisa ,again like Im not even on the phone after I said to her " let me call my wife for clarification " she starts talking to me over my conversation to my wife and starts pointing at the screen. She never asked me how I was, she never told me where the restroom was even after asking twice and never answered my question about all my information being put in on line. This may be America's Best elsewhere ,but Lisa made me feel like Fayetteville's nobody. Sorry,no sale today, or in fact ever.
Appointment was a 2:20pm. I didn't get out until 5:45. The doctors were online only which would've been fine if it actually worked. The staff seemed overworked despite the lack of actual work going on. When the time came to pay I was already upset by how long it took. The bill came out to $80 and I handed the man $100. He had the audacity knowing full well that I was there for 3 hours to say "Oh good a tip". I made it absolutely clear that I want my change back. He had the gall to say "C'mon mannn." The lack of professionalism is truly astounding. Update: The company's corporate tried to contact me after I made this review. I went thru the requested steps to get in touch with me personally. It has been a month since then. The company is terrible from the top to the bottom.
Don’t bother booking an appointment here if you don’t have 2+ hours to wait. I scheduled my appointment for 1:50 and got a call saying they were behind and to reschedule for 3:30 but to show up at 3 so I could be seen. At 4 clock I was told I still had 30-45 minutes estimated before I would be seen. Whatever they are doing with these “virtual appointments” ISNT working if even after a full appointment was cancelled there is still an hour and a half wait time. I should have known better, I’ve never had a good experience with America’s Best in my home state.
