Just left America's Best and had a wonderful experience! From the lady at the front desk, to the exam techs, and Brad that helped me find a set of frames, they acted like they wanted to be sure I was pleased with my experience. The folks that did my eye exam were very pleasant and knew their jobs. I did the video consultation after many of my eye measurements were done and the doctor was very nice and explained in detail what was going on with my eyes. As a bonus, Brad helped me find a nice set of frames that I think my wife may like. He was very personable and we had big hoot of a time picking the frames. Not my first time at America's Best and I will return. A Plus all the way.

No doctors other than telehealth available on weekends. I know they offer technicians, but I don’t trust my eye health to the telephone game. If they can be online to see patients they can come in to the store. This was also an issue at another closer location which means they are having an issue with staffing, and makes me wonder if the corporation is on a downward spiral. Americas best needs to get back the business and care that made them successful to begin with.
I had an appointment for my son at 4:30 PM CDT. We arrived early at 4:15 PM and checked in with the front desk associate, who was very professional and courteous. We were told to look at frames, which we did, and then returned to the waiting area. As of 5:00 PM, we still had not been called back for the exam, and there was no communication or update regarding the delay. I asked for an update and was told they were “getting ready to call him back now.” And then proceeded to tell me it was “just a pre test” before the doctor could see him. I understand that delays can happen, but clear communication is essential to good customer service—especially when children are involved. Unfortunately, due to the lack of updates, I will be scheduling our appointment elsewhere.
I made an appointment over a month ago to have an eye exam. When I called I specifically asked if they accepted my insurance because they were an hour away. They advised that they did accept my insurance. The week before my appointment I was bombarded by appointment reminder emails and text letting me know that I had this appointment. I received a call from America's Best on Saturday while I was at work and was able unable to answer. When I tried to call back someone answered and asked to put me on hold and I said no I can't be on hold what did you need and they asked me to hold again and I said I can't hold I'm at work. Sunday and Monday I got additional reminders about my appointment and then I drove an hour and arrived at my appointment on time only to be told that they do take eyemed insurance but they don't take Cigna eyemed insurance. They said that they had tried to leave a voicemail my voicemail is full. My voicemail is not full. And it's interesting that they're able to remind me about my appointment via text and email but they can only call if they need to tell me that they don't accept my insurance after telling me that they accepted it. And have no problem wasting 2 hours of my time to drive there and drive back but if I wanted to get an eye appointment I could definitely pay their $69 fee. I would recommend going somewhere else. This place is listed on my portal for my insurance, they confirmed that they take my insurance and then apparently they don't check that for sure until 2 days before the appointment.
I made my appointment with America’s Best, updated my information online and have no complaints. Each employee I dealt with was great. One in particular stood out from all the rest and that person is Tammy. She is knowledgeable, patient and has a great sense of humor. Had her both times I went in, both for my appointment and returning to pick up my glasses. I love doing business with America’s Best and Tammy.
