America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses

I want to start this review by saying the techs who work here are kind and professional. They are the reason this place is getting more than 1 star. The doctor is unprofessional and made getting my contacts almost impossible. I had an appointment in June and it took 3 weeks for my prescription to be finalized. When it was finalized it was for the wrong brand of contacts. This process has been increasingly long and frustrating. Because of this I have had my last appointment here. Please be aware if you have contacts the time it will take your prescription to get filled it is an incredibly and unnecessary long process.

Stopped by here in need of little fix to my glasses. One of the gummy nose protectors came off- the staff was super helpful. They got me fixed up in no time at no charge with a big smile! Thank you for helping me out!

Used to get my glasses at the cheapest places, and got what I paid for. I discovered America's Best a few years ago in an effort to get my old glasses fixed. The folks there did such a wonderful job fixing the frames, even though I didn't buy them there! So when it came time to get new ones, I purchased my glasses there and got even better service! My eye exam was quick and complete. Then I selected new frames from a fairly large collection in-house. The employees there are always courteous, genuine and make certain my glasses fit properly, and are what I needed for my vision! And pricing? Nobody even came close ! I think I saved more than $100 on my progressive bifocals! This is now my second visit to America's Best in Staunton, and I am so very Blessed to be able to see clearly again :)

Their prices are terrible. I had recently broken my glasses frame and wanted to get a new one, and it’s an $8 frame from Walmart that they no longer carry. So they recommended me to go here. Well they had the frame, but for $80!!! Whose idea was it to sell an $8 frame for literally ten times the price! So much for affordability…

Arrived on time for my 10am appointment to have my eyes rechecked after receiving my new prescription, which was way off. I’ve waited for an hour and have yet to be seen. Meanwhile, people who came in after me have been seen. Incredibly frustrating experience all around. Lack of communication and time management. Do not book an appointment here if you don’t plan to wait for over an hour.
