I can’t say enough about Dr McConnell and the staff at EyeOne in Staunton. Over a two month period I had two surgeries to remove cataracts from my eyes. The friendly staff and attention to detail was amazing. They told me how each surgery was going to be and what to expect and it was exactly that way. And although I missed his calls the doctor called me after each surgery to see how I was doing. I can’t recommend him enough. A special thanks to Jen Mathyis for who works there for talking me into getting this done.

Recently started coming here for an accident my daughter was in... literally other than the emergency visits we've been here for. We literally set in the waiting room for an hour or more. There is no notice ahead of time. While I understand things happen, this is also completely inconsiderate of my time. We will be switching as soon as possible!

I've been going to this location for 2 years since I moved to Staunton, I have not had a great experience. My most recent appointment I sat in the waiting room for over an hour. No one updated me on when I would be called back. Not to mention, I have since gone to another eye doctor and was told that I have a stigmatism, and that's why my prescription wasn't working. And the doctors neglected to tell me at this location.

I wanted to give a shoutout to stylist Nikki at the Verona/Staunton optical dept. I came in today to pick out a new pair of frames and I was having a difficult time choosing. She noticed this and offered to help me while listening to my preferences and concerns. She ended up showing me a pair of frames that weren’t currently in stock at their location but that she felt like were a good match for me. She said they could either order them or that I could visit another location, 10 minutes away, where they were in stock. Then, proceeded to contact that location so that they could pull them to be ready for me to try upon arrival. When I got to that location, Kaitlyn was super helpful and accommodating and had the frames ready for me to check out. They were perfect! :) She cleaned up my current pair for me and set up for my new ones to be delivered to the original location for my convenience. Great experience and customer service. Very poor customer service especially with the ladies working the glasses store. One lady in particular was very condescending toward my husband and treated him like he had no idea what he was talking about. He ended up purchasing glasses from a much cheaper option and went to return the ones he purchased from Eye One and was told they couldn’t give a full refund. The doctors are fine but unfortunately this experience along with their lack of ability to schedule appointments in a reasonable timeframe makes us want to go somewhere else for eye care.
