2 pairs of glasses for the same price or less than I was quoted anywhere else! They said even if I use my insurance I still get a discount on a second pair! Big selection and really good prices! And the staff is honest and friendly. Will definitely be back

I have never really liked Americas Best but I went here due to my parents going here prior. My first experience there was a few years ago and I still think about it everytime I go in. That visit there was this one male worker there who made me feel like I was dumb for not knowing certain things and was just overall rude about everything I was trying to purchase. Recently, my last couple months of contacts were breaking inside of my eyes but some were brand new out of the plastic dishes they come in. I had to change them out quite frequently and it was really bothering me as this was unusual for me and I had worn their contacts before. Plus, I paid money/went through insurance for these not too long ago. Someone I know had mentioned I should let them know that she ALSO had the same problem with her contacts, so they gave her new ones with a new brand without any issues. I went in and was told that they could not do this for me and I left frustrated as they cannot just do this for one person and not another especially when I brought in my broken ones to show examples… which by the way the person never asked to see them but told me there’s no way to be able to tell if they are faulty so normally it’s the patients fault…. Which is also wrong because I have worn them before and I was expressing concern that they were breaking in my eyes randomly during the day. I was told I could get an exam (which hadn’t even been 4 months since the last one when I walked in this date). Also, pretty sure against HIPPA, the person helping me (again, a manager) then looked up the person that I knows chart and told me that they didn’t see anything stating she received new contacts on their end. Ok cool great to know that information but shouldn’t she be giving you the OK before you spread her information? But that’s ok, I probably don’t know anything anyway… not like I’m in healthcare either or anything. I called again later to talk about this situation with the store manager. I was told the store manager was being put on the phone. That’s when I was told that the store manager was not in and this person on the phone now was the same person I had chatted with when I was in about an hour before. This was frustrating to me because I wanted to be heard by the store manager, not a manager who stated she could do nothing for me. While this conversation went better, I live farther away now and that was frustrating so I haven’t been back in to do the contacts as it seems more of a hassle to go somewhere I don’t even really wanna be at. I called the other day to get my records because I just had an exam done mid last year. I was told they do not do records releases (which is odd for my own personal records) but that I would have to come in. As I live farther away, I requested if there was any other way. The man on the phone told me no but someone else could pick it up for me. Uh. Weird. So I can’t get my own records with a records release but someone else can? He ended up asking another employee and he apologized for the mistake but still, this place is just very off to me. I’m sure that there are people in this place that are great because the lady I had print out my document was very nice but I may just be coming in on the wrong days. The doctors are always nice, but they are always different which is okay with me since I work in an establishment with different doctors all the time as well. I really wish I could stay, I just don’t like the inconsistency.
Good $70 eye exam, but they wouldn't provide pupil distance, a seemingly simple measurement they refused to take unless I buy glasses here. But now, I can't relyably use the prescription I got from them to order glasses because I'm missing a number. They're like you can measure it yourself, but I came to them for professional measures and they're telling me to look crosseyed in a mirror and do this last measurement myself. I would NEVER have come here if I'd known they would be such jerks about it.
Don’t go here if you don’t want to walk out crying and with your glasses scratched identically on both sides. My screw came out of my glasses, and when I went to get them fixed I came back with two large identical scratches on both sides. They also changed my nose pads without asking, which is how I’m sure they glasses was scratched. The person who did this was Sarah Slee. When I went back in she told me some excuse and put the blame on me and that it was “time for a new pair of glasses” I will never return here again, and if I could rate it 0 stars i would. They gave me a 50% discount on replacements, but that just means I’m paying money I wouldn’t have if I hadn’t come here to get my glasses fixed.
I have come here a few times and been satisfied with the service, but what I can say is most recently for my exam in ordering I had an overall exemplary experience every step of the way from the update to the initial imaging that I requested many years ago to even coming back the next day because I personally ran out of time to place in the order for my glasses could not recommend them enough
