My family has been coming here for years. My husband, my son, and I have always appreciated the service we received in the past. Recently my husband had an eye exam and returned a few weeks later to pick up his glasses and have the final fitting. Unfortunately, the experience during that visit was very disappointing. One of the employees became visibly upset because my husband was wearing a political hat supporting the current President of the United States. She interrupted the fitting, told the other employee assisting him to step away, and said she would handle it herself. Instead of completing the fitting, she immediately placed the glasses back in the case and told my husband to leave. The final fitting was never done. I understand that people have different political views, and our country can feel divided at times. However, wearing a hat that supports the current president should not result in a customer being treated this way. Personal political opinions should not interfere with providing professional service. Based on this experience, I felt it was important to share that customers with differing political views may not feel welcome here.
