PLEASE save yourself the headache & go somewhere else! Not worth wasting your time or money here. 1. My contacts lens appointment took over THREE HOURS. I’ve never had an appt go over an hour.. that was annoying. 2. When I called in to get my prescription emailed to me (which I’ve had at least 3 other eye doctors do) I was told they would not be able to because it is a violation of HIPAA. Never heard of that. Why would ME asking for MY prescription to be emailed to ME be a violation of HIPAA? Then the excuse was that their computers don’t allow for email. Ok, weird. 3. The receptionist was rude as hell over the phone. 4. After I requested my prescription be faxed to 1800 contacts, they told me they would. After getting in contact with 1800 because my order still hadn’t been shipped, they told me they did not receive a fax. I called America’s best AGAIN, for about the 5th time, & was told there was a problem with the fax machine but that they sent it over now. Cool. Chatted with 1800 contacts again after 2 more days & they told me it was noted that Americas Best said they would not be faxing over the prescription & I would need to pick it up in person. This is after they already told me they would/did so now I’ve been with less than perfect vision for a week now because of this BS. Never doing business with these people again.

I had an eye glasses emergency two days ago and the employees at America's Best on Lititz Pike were very helpful with getting me scheduled and getting my vision back in less than two hours! They got me a same-day appointment, I saw the doctor via webcam since they were not in the office that day and got the correct contact lens prescription quickly and with great accuracy! They ordered me trial pairs and I don't have to pay for the contacts until I've found what's most comfortable for me to wear. They also have a special promotion right now that for only $10 more, I'm able to get free eye exams for the next two years after paying for my exam yesterday. Thank you so much to Carmen, Seanne, Leslie and Selina for taking good care of me! I will definitely stop in at this location again. :)
Appointment was at 10:30 AM. She didn’t leave until 2:00 PM. This office is extremely disorganized. It took two hours just to see the virtual doctor, with constant connection issues and multiple hang-ups. At one point, internet technicians were on the screen instead of the doctor. Several patients left because of the long wait, and there was little communication about what was going on. Staff seemed overwhelmed, going in and out of rooms repeatedly. The employee who performed the eye check smelled strongly of cigarettes, which was uncomfortable in a small exam room. After imaging was done and sent to the virtual doctor, there was even more waiting. To make matters worse, they lost her insurance card and later confirmed they had given it to the wrong patient. They had to call the man who received it and ask him to come back and return it. Four hours for a routine eye appointment, technical issues, and mishandling personal information is unacceptable. Definitely not a professional or reassuring experience.
This is a long time ago, because I've never bothered with posting this until now. But America's best should not be open. I understand and appreciate trying to offer a cheap and minimalist eye doctor experience, but at the very least, meet the industry minimum for customer service. I have had so many awful experiences (one of them being as close to assault as I have ever been to in my young life) and will never go back. I don't care about the money. Getting smacked in the face with equipment because a technician and an eye doctor had a witch fight (replace the w with a b) is beyond unacceptable for any health service, let alone any other business. I've always thought that the Google rating should go by 1-100, because this would be an easy 1. Insane.
Always a good experience here. I didn't have to wait and my glasses were repaired for free. Junior (Louis) explained how I could best use my insurance coverage. Very knowledgable and friendly.
