If I could give ZERO STARS I would. I went in because I went to another location before and the service was amazing. I went to this location and thought every was fine. I paid over $600 for a pair of glasses and exam and things. Here’s where the problem starts. I get an email from americas best after 9pm saying items were out of stock and they will inform me when they are in stock. When I was at the store NOBODY said “hey these items are out of stock.” If that was said I wouldn’t have ordered them because I’ve had problems like this in the past. So I called the number on the email, and they said I had to call the store (the store didn’t send the email. The number on the email did) I called the store and was told they couldn’t refund my money and I had to wait for a manager. Manager had me wait over 6 mins like my life doesn’t have any value just to tell me “you have to come in to receive that refund” I will NEVER use this place again. Very horrible, very unprofessional, very inconsiderate. Steer clear of this place!

Hime so professional and knows his job extremely well. His personality is amazing and he interacts with customers so well. Please keep him in the Charlotte Pike store. Jan helped me with my new Pair Eyewear! They are beautiful and I can see so good.

I've been a customer at this chain for 8 years and can no longer recommend this location. Last year I discovered I had been given an incorrect contact lens prescription for several years running, resulting in significant overcharging / poor vision. I loved that optometrist – (new as of last year from LA) Unfortunately I was informed that she no longer works there. I thought I’d give them another shot. Big Mistake. I was told in advance the doctors would be working remotely and was assured this simply meant a tech would run the standard tests and a doctor would review them remotely afterward — which I was fine with. On arrival, I was met with a snarky comment from a staff member about not filling out intake paperwork in advance, including a remark that I "could have done it on the toilet." Once in the exam room, I was interrupted repeatedly by staff who were openly confused and discussing amongst themselves — in front of me — that no one in the office was proficient with the testing equipment. Of the three or four tests required, none were completed correctly the first time. Staff had to repeatedly leave the room to ask for help, and even a supervisor was unable to explain what a piece of equipment was supposed to be doing. When I pressed for a straight answer, the supervisor talked over me and spoke to me condescendingly. After I said that if they weren't going to have doctors on-site, they at minimum needed staff who knew how to run the equipment, she told a coworker she was "leaving the room" because she didn't want to be "cussed at" — despite no such thing occurring. I later learned the practice has seven remote doctors, all technically on vacation that day, none of whom were answering their phones for appointments already on the books — it reportedly took 30–45 minutes just to reach one. Front desk staff confirmed doctors were rejecting charts because tests were being done incorrectly across multiple patients, not just mine, and I was shuffled between rooms and retested multiple times by staff who repeatedly admitted they didn't know what they were doing. When I asked how much longer this would take, rather than answering, staff told me I was free to leave if I wanted — as though trying to get me to walk out rather than address the problem. I was in the office for over three hours for what should have been a routine visit, and ultimately left without a contact lens prescription and without ever seeing a doctor. The techs individually were kind and clearly doing their best without proper training — the failure here is entirely on management, supervisors, incompetent optometrists, and staffing, not the front-line staff. I will not be returning to this location or this chain. I am not surprised the only good optometrist you had quit. I will be I'm filing an official complaint with the Tennessee board of optometry and the Tennessee Department of Health.

This is my first time encountering this. I just called to follow up on whether they sent me a mail about my prescription. This guy, who I think is either TIMMY or SIMMY, was incredibly rude. He was simply following my prescription, but he suddenly started talking about various medical and eye clinics. He was asking for money, which was completely out of the topic. I was so frustrated that I had to shout at him. This is the first time I’ve encountered this in America’s best Charlotte Pike! I’ve been a customer for several years, and I expect better service. You need to fix your attitude towards customers. He doesn't even deserve this one star!

Jan at America's Best on Charlotte Pike in Nashville was excellent as she helped my 85 year old sister with glasses. She helped get her the pair she needed at the best price. She helped with insurance and explained each step in purchasing her glasses. I was so impressed with Jan and her outgoing personality. She is the reason we will be a return customer. Thanks Jan!
