I had the best experience at the silverdale location. Needed the works - eye exam and two pair of glasses. First had an eye exam didn’t wait 5 minutes. Ended up with new prescription. Been over six years since my last one. Picked out frames and lenses. Have real bad eye sight so they were complicated. My insurance didn’t cover the whole bill. I ended up having to put some on a credit card then paid in cash for some and then used by debt card. I was still short $27. The sales associate said I could pay the balance when I picked them up. The general manager I believe her name was Debbie was there helping since I was paying with four different payments. She whips out a credit card and pays the balance of my bill. She didn’t even know me only that I was a customer in need. That’s what a call customer service. Would recommend this place to anyone and I’m a customer for life now. Way to go and two thumbs up 👍 . Thank you

this location I have been going to America's Best for 3 years because it is close to my home and my Medicare plan covers it here. After 3 years, I have decided not to return. > My husband and I each pay about $300 out of pocket for glasses even with insurance. For that price, they do not include a case or a cleaning cloth. You have to ask for a case every time and they act like they do not want to give it. When I went to Costco, a case and a cloth were always included. > The front desk staff is also very unfriendly. I never felt welcomed. > Very disappointing for loyal customers. I will take my business elsewhere.
Not recommended, keep looking for somewhere else. From the other reviews it seems like some people are just lucky to have a good experience here. I was not. When I went in for my first appointment I stood at the front counter for 5 minutes before any of the three staff members, who were not with customers btw, even acknowledged me. The exam was ok but afterwards I was given no direction as to what to do next. Sit back down and wait? Go back up to the counter? Staff still not with other customers seemed uninterested in showing me frames or anything. Then I got called to a desk just to pay the bill I guess because still they didn't even ask if I wanted to look at glasses. Seemed annoyed when I tried to talk about how to get new glasses, what does my insurance cover, what are the cost options etc. I paid for the contacts exam and was told they had to order samples and then I would need to come back for the doctor to check them before I could get the prescription, which btw they can only print for you if you go in, so don't lose it! After I got an automatic text about the contacts, I phoned to get appointment specifically because the online system seems to be only for the original full exam. When I went for the contacts exam, and told the person at the front counter why I was there, she asked if I have my contacts. I said no, you do, and again explained the purpose of the appointment. She said that's weird Ive never heard of that process and you are scheduled for a full appointment. I told her I had my full appointment already and was just there for contacts. She and the next person kept repeating that I was scheduled for a full appointment, as if it was my fault! Then some non-Dr person kept asking me to read letters that were all blurry and from a card I had to hold. I explained that I wear contacts for far sight, like driving, and without reading glasses, I would never be able to read the card. She did not seem to understand that. We made up some answers to put in the computer so I could move onto the doctor. The doctor seemed to work with me to adjust the prescription but then I realized he kept checking both eyes at once, with the same magnification and after I left, no ran to get away from the place, I realized my prescription for both eyes has the same magnification, my eyes have each always been a little different, so that's suspicious. When I finished with the Dr, no one told me what to do next, still didn't ask me about glasses, just left me lingering wondering what was next until I hovered enough, someone finally told me to go sit down and wait to be called. Clearly they are not actually in the business of selling people new glasses! So now I'm stuck with prescriptions I don't really trust for the next 2 years, contact brand specific prescription for I have no idea what brand or anything. Don't play roulette by going here, go probably anywhere else!
I scheduled an eye exam at America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses because my usual eye doctor wasn’t available on my days off. I decided to give them a try, as I was hoping to have my prescription slightly increased since I felt my current glasses weren’t performing as clearly as they should. During the exam, I expressed that I was having difficulty seeing clearly without my glasses and wanted to explore a stronger prescription for improved clarity. However, I later found out that my astigmatism correction was actually reduced instead of increased, which was frustrating given the concerns I had raised. Additionally, I was told at the beginning of the appointment that my insurance was accepted, but at the end of the visit I was informed that it was not. That lack of clarity was disappointing and resulted in unexpected out-of-pocket expenses. Overall, the experience left me feeling that my concerns were not fully addressed and that there was a lack of transparency regarding insurance coverage. I will be giving the new prescription a try but I highly doubt it will help and now I’ve wasted time waiting for these new glasses and money I do not recommend this clinic.
I’ve had a great experience with America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses, especially because I travel a lot. Having locations all over the country makes it incredibly convenient to pop in wherever I am without any hassle. No matter which location I’ve visited, the service has been consistent and reliable. It’s a huge relief knowing I can get what I need without worrying about being in a different city. Definitely a great option if you’re frequently on the go.
