As a previous patient the hospital has terrible communication i was life flighted here and they left the paperwork that told all my issues and most importantly my name and info so they didn't know anything about me except I was barely alive until my dad showed up and found the packet of paperwork sitting by a window in my room 🤦‍♂️ But will definitely give credit i was in a severe motorcycle accident crashed at triple digits luckily they have a great rehabilitation center and to be my first hospital stay "was here 52 days" was really nice the food wasn't terrible they will bring you water or ice if needed had one male nurse get very upset I keept hitting the call button on my bed because I couldn't get a drink but after reporting him to other nurses I no longer seen him but besides the constant helicopters witch I liked was a nice place they kept me alive 🙏

This is not a place to go if you value your life. Ive been here twice, both times having a horrible experiences. If you were to have a medical emergency you would be better off praying to whatever god you believe in. If the reviews of 2.1 stars don't speak for themselves, here are my experiences with this place: The first time I came in with persistent, heavy bleeding accompanied by severe abdominal pain. My husband and I waited for several hours. When I was finally taken back, I was only tested for pregnancy and dismissed by the young pea-brain they call a doctor, Dr. Dillon, who said word for word: "You likely have a disorder or something." He then encouraged me to take a tylenol and discharged me. I went to another hospital the following day, was given an ultrasound, and diagnosed with an ovarian cyst in half the time I had waited to even see that pathetic excuse for a doctor the day before. The next time I went in with loss of sensation and severe swelling in my finger following a surgery. This was caused by bandages that were far too tight, leading to me suffering nerve damage and nearly losing my finger. I was rushed back to a room to wait for a doctor, but following that there was no sense of urgency at all. I used the call button to ask if I could take any pain medication and was told "I can't hear you." and ignored. My husband and I waited for an hour and a half without ever being seen by a doctor or even checked on by a nurse. We walked right out and drove to Novant in Kernersville, where I'd also been diagnosed with the ovarian cyst after the gross mistreatment I faced the last time I went to this cursed hospital. At Novant they treated me immediately and with the care that I should have received initially, I highly recommend going there if you have a medical emergency and if you care to live. The staff here at Atrium are rude, disconnected, and will not treat you with any urgency or respect. They will disregard you when you need immediate medical attention, and even if you do manage to see a doctor they will be of no help at all. I would trust a mortician more than these quacks. The only reason to come to this hospital is if you're hoping for a payday from a medical malpractice lawsuit.

Plenty of rooms, had to wait 30 for cleaning. Triage Nurses eating crackers. Front desk guy resistance to muting lobby tv despite no one else in there. Nurse put respiratory patient in reclining position preventing breathing. A doctor who chews gum seems mighty cavalier. Techs fine

I would not send my dog to the ER in high point. The ER staff are so unprofessional and rude. They love to pump you up with morphine which is not good for your heart. The falsified clinical documentation concerning my stay. My family was calling and coming to the hospital looking for me and I never knew until a professional nurse provided me with some disturbing information. I was told I was put under what is called confidential encounter. Normally that consists of someone in danger so it's for their protection. But I was never in harm. The staff used their authority to place me under that category so I'd be refused visits and calls because me and the charge nurse had words because one of the nurses on call was very rude so I voiced my concerns and from there I was treated like a dog. I never threatened anyone or tried to physically harm anyone because at the time of my visit I believe I was suffering from vertigo which causes severe nausea, sensitivity to light, and severe dizziness so I was unable to walk that well and I was also throwing up. Then the nurse snatched the rag off my eyes and told me he needed to talk to me even though I told him the light was hurting my eyes. It was unbelievable. So then I voiced my concern only to get treated worse. They had the nerve to waste tax payers money to have security sit outside my door all day and night like I was a criminal. But that was their way of manipulating the situation because I asked to speak with patience relations. It was funny yet embarrassing because I literally saw how they operate once they realize they have done wrong. My stay at this hospital was a nightmare and I'm going to do everything in my power to make sure this doesn't continue to happen to patients who decide to come here for care. One thing I do know for sure; is that they live up to their 2.2 reviews rating and the many lawsuits they encounter so very often. All I can say is watch your back at this hospital because they don't give a damn about their patients. My whole stay was a shot show. But once I was moved upstairs due to me being admitted it was a more professional setting but I was the one basically making suggestions to the nurses about my care when it should be the other way around. Very very bad place in my opinion for any care.

I never thought i would review an emergency room but he we are! Saturday my mom was having a medical emergency and this was the closest hospital so this is where we went. The ER has limited parking which was confusing but we got inside and she was quickly checked in and taken for imaging. Her pain continued to increase and they took it seriously and got her right back for treatment (though this was a true medical emergency and many people waited for a long time so have realistic expectations). She had 3 ER nurses. The first nurse was great, I didnt get her name. The second was Tiffany. Tiffany is a different type of nurse and she was amazing with my mom. She was patient and clear and also still caring. She treated my mom with so much respect during one of her worst days. I really liked her a lot! ...and then there was Evelyn. The nurses here are outstanding! Evelyn was kind and laughed at all my moms jokes (she deals with stress by using humor), she always explained what was going on and explained why certain things took awhile (we were there a very long time but felt informed). She finally got admitted and put on the 4th floor where the care was again, amazing. She saw several doctors who were all very down to earth and had several nurses. She really liked Mary and I really thought Kendal was great but there were so many great medical professionals at this location that treated my mom with respect and dignity. It means so much when someone is basically feeling like their body is failing them to have people continue to treat them with dignity and kindness. She was discharged today and was set up with a doctor there to continue after care. I know some people say negative things about this place but they did right by my mom with every single step and possibly saved her life. I have nothing bad to say about any of the care she was given and im glad that we went here. BUT you cannot expect a quick visit at any hospital so you have to have realistic expectations.
