I’ve dealt with the staff of the W.Roxbury Atrius for over 2 decades now. The staff has always been consistent in their friendly approach and care. I has raised my children there & now my children’s children are followed there. They all deserve a raise especially in pediatrics. They make caring for my kids/grandkids the easiest part of my parenting journey

I have been with Atrius Health since 1986 when I got my first job on the Boston Public Schools. “Harvard” was my first Health Insurance and it will be my last. It was recommended to me from Co-workers and two family members. I enthusiastically recommend Atrius Health as the best Health Insurance all around. I’m very Satisfied with the services I’ve received throughout the years. Friendly, caring Staff and Outstanding Doctors and nurses.
Back in October my 90 year old diabetic mom went to her primary care office and saw a doctor she never saw before. She must've told him she was depressed because he prescribed her Lexapro. He told her that she would have to come off of it slowly, but never told her any of the many side effects. She waited til about 2 months ago to try it. After 5 days she felt like she was dying and went to the emergency room. She was admitted. Her sodium level was too low & they took her off the Lexapro and couldn't understand why she was given it. Since then she was admitted one more time and had 2 more emergency room visits. All that doctor had to do was Google it and he would have known that is giving a 90 year old diabetic Lexapro was NOTTTT a good idea it clearly states that it can lower sodium levels and interfere with diabetic medication. Because of this she had to stop taking her diabetes pills, and her blood sugar has been going crazy. (She had to switch to only insulin) She is still suffering greatly from the side effects saying she wants to die. It has been a hell of a ride and someone needs to take accountability for this terrible mistake. I even called the patient relations to file a complaint, left a message and I still haven't heard back from anyone.
Atrius Health Chestnut Hill/West Roxbury is an excellent facility. I have been going there for years and have always been happy with the staff in all of the departments. They are friendly, professional, and knowledgeable.
My cars battery died in their lot while my kid was at their appt and the nice guy at the front desk said he couldn't help me because there are too many cameras and they would have an issue with it. Just wondering what kind of company has an issue with its employees helping their patients in need.
