I went in just trying to fix my vision and left looking like I belong in a sunglasses commercial. Got my contacts sorted out super quickly, and the staff was really helpful without being pushy. Whole experience was smooth, fast, and honestly kinda fun. If your eyesight is struggling, this is the place to go 😎
I went to the Avalon Optometrist in the Carson location to get my new glasses. And I had the great customer service. The optometrist was professional, kind & caring and they had excellent staff. I had health insurance therefore my eye glasses exam glasses & frames, all covered by insurance. Most of the eyeglass frames are covered by insurance. If you want to get a designer's eyeglass frame, you may have to pay extra money. If you need to get new glasses or contact lenses, I would like to recommend the Avalon Optometrist.
I was referred here by my coworker who is a Carson native. Long story short - the Doctor I saw was Dr. Misty Mello. She wrote my glasses & contact lense prescription wrong for both of my eyes. When I ordered my glasses from Warby Parker & my contacts from 1-800 contacts, with the prescription | was given from Dr. Mello I couldn't see at all because the prescription was 100% INCORRECT. The office refused to update & change my prescription until next year 2027... even though this was their mistake ! I would not recommend this optometry office and doctors here. They're very unprofessional. I wasted my time and money being a patient of theirs. Customer service is awful. 0/10 would not recommend.
I called in earlier today and they had an appointment. I went in and definitely loved this place. Dr. Wong was really nice, informative, answered my questions and really helped me with my eye care. The staff are very warm and welcoming. The pricing was pretty good and place takes guardian and vsp insurance. I totally recommend this place for your eye care needs.
The doctors are always nice and helpful. They are very accommodating and kind to their patients. I usually have a good experience here, however the receptionist who attended the front seemed dismissive in her tone. She appeared to know Spanish and spoke Spanish to another family but choose to not speak it to us even though we were communicating in Spanish when we arrived. It felt a little unwelcoming especially after seeing her communicate to another family in fluent Spanish. The other receptionist are usually very nice so it threw me off. Other then that it’s a very good place to go…
