Avery Eye Clinic deserves 10 stars! I have not been an easy patient. I have had several family health problems that resulted in delays to finalize my treatment. They could not be more supportive and understanding. My doctor is Dr. Dvorak. He is technically brilliant and has a superb manner. He is always even and devotes all the time needed to provide care. Quality care and patient safety are a priority!

Very kind and friendly staff! Walked me through everything and didn’t rush me! I wasn’t there for very long waiting to see the doctor. They called me back before I was done filling out paperwork. And I didn’t have to wait forever to get a new patient appointment! Dr. Outlaw was great!

I’ve been coming here for several weeks now with my husband with a reoccurring issue his eyes. Dr. Jan is a great doctor but the wait times are just atrocious. The staff is hit or miss. The clinical staff is well trained, kind, and knowledgeable. But I have waited 5+ minutes waiting JUST to check in, waiting for the middle desk lady to get off her phone while playing literal games. Another time I heard her saying she was the office manager for this location over the phone and it’s unbelievable how unprofessional this is. Ignoring other patients wanting to check in while there’s a line… this is only in the span of 3-4 frequent visits and it’s always the same thing. Extremely unprofessional office.

This office has been extremely frustrating to deal with. Patients are required to arrive 15 minutes early for appointments, yet that doesn’t account for the excessive wait times once you’re there. On multiple visits, I’ve experienced delays of 1 to 1.5 hours past my scheduled appointment time—and I’ve seen many other patients dealing with the same issue. I spoke with the office manager, who acknowledged the problem but didn’t offer any meaningful solutions. While I understand that patients may require different types of testing, it’s concerning that even with three doctors on staff, they consistently fail to stay on schedule. If the bottleneck is due to technicians, then better training and workflow improvements are clearly needed. At this point, I would only recommend Dr. Jan specifically for cataract surgery. For general eye care, I would strongly suggest looking for another office that respects patients’ time.

Deceptive practice alert. I had my annual eye exam (it was self pay) and when I checked out, I was charged $189.52. A few weeks later, I got a bill in the mail for an additional $126 for two additional tests. To my recollection, no mention was made of these additional tests. I paid the bill today, but will not be back. If you take your car in for an oil change, and get a bill two weeks later for a radiator flush and a new air filter, should you have to pay it? Highly unprofessional. GET THE EXACT AMOUNT YOUU WIL BE CHARGED UP FRONT!!
