I'm a long time customer of Bailey Eye Care, to the extent that my patient account number is two digits, and my family and I will never go back for two reasons. First, as others have mentioned, some of the front desk staff are incredibly rude. My past two appoints I was made to feel like my very presence was an affront to their existence, and that was just check-in. Then I had to ask a question. I guess not knowing arcane legal crap about medical billing is my problem to solve, not theirs. Shame on me for asking how much something might cost. Second, they appear to use some kind of variable billing scheme, where they bill to the maximum allowed by your insurance, then they bill you some more on top of that. I changed insurances my last couple visits, and each time somehow I paid even more, even though my newer insurance was better. That's just for the eye exam part. The eye glasses retail part is even worse. I'd leave this as one star but the optometrist Dr. Epling was always really great and took the time to answer all my questions. I don't know what happened to this practice but now it's just a ridiculous cash grab.

I went today as a new patient. I was so so impressed.I was taken in immediately. I saw Emily first and then Dr. Peek. I have never had such a great extensive eye exam. Both were very kind and knowledgeable. I also felt very comfortable with them. I found out I need cataract surgery…which is fine I want to see well again. Thanks Emily and Dr. Peek.

The entire staff was great! From the check in desk to the technicians. Everyone had a smile and was helpful. Dr Peek is amazing! I would recommend him to anyone. Very kind, friendly, knowledgeable, and you can tell he really cares about your health and vision.

They bait and switched me on the quoted price for a routine eye exam. Apparently it costs $179 if you're uninsured, and over $250 if you're insured. Save yourself some money and go somewhere more in touch with the local going rate for these types of services. I definitely shouldn't be paying a premium rate after waiting over 30 minutes past my appointment time to be seen.

Both times I have been to Bailey's, the front staff have been rude. I didn't even make it back for my exam today because I decided I am no longer dealing with their attitudes. The lady asked if I had my insurance card. I told her the insurance website said I didn't need it, I could just provide my full name and DOB. She asked if I got a text reminder. I told her I did. She replied " well the text tells you to bring it". I again told her what the website said. She just looked at me. So I told her to cancel my appointment because I'm not dealing with their attitudes any longer.
