Dr Carrera was very personable and professional. He was thorough in testing and communication of the results. I feel that he truly cares about his patients. I trust his expertise in his profession. Unlike other doctors that leave you feeling processed through an appointment, Dr Carrera was very attentive and took the time to answer my questions and thoroughly explain everything to me. Great doctor, very easy to talk to. Took time to completely answer all my questions and I had several. Also had a very good experience with his business partner Dr. Darin Smith who did my cataract surgery at the Surgery Center in West Knoxville. This was my 3rd surgery and I was extremely nervous. Dr.Smith came into the pre-op area and introduced himself to me and explained the process. He spoke with me one-to-one greatly reducing my anxiety and calming my nerves. He probably dropped my blood pressure too ! Also was impressed with Dr Perkins who preformed my Retina reattachment surgeries. All in all I was very impressed with almost everyone and everything in my experiences with them. The facilities were state of the art and the cleanest that I've ever been in. Thank You all for jobs well done !

I moved our family to Tennessee in June. We started the process of finding new providers for various medical services. The practice was able to schedule me reasonably quickly. The exam was very thorough I felt every single person I encountered was highly professional. Dr. Sweet seemed very nice and instilled a sense of calm. After one visit I highly recommend.

Dr Holt is very thorough and concerned about her patients. Back in March she noticed my eyes had high pressure and asked me to come back in five months I then told her before my check up in March of 2026 in January 2026 I had steroid shot and antibiotics. When I went back to her on August this she said the eye pressure was normal. Now I know to reschedule an appointment whenever I have steroid shot. Thank you Dr Holt your a jewel to your professon. ❤️

Over the past four years, my visits to Baptist Eye Surgeon have been positive. The staff is friendly and efficient in assisting patients. Dr. Tilley is an excellent optometrist; she listens carefully and provides helpful advice.
