I have noticed a consistent lack of professionalism from the front desk staff at this facility. While the medical staff are excellent, the reception area does not reflect the same level of care. The front desk employees often engage in personal conversations and gossip that can be overheard throughout the lobby, which creates an unwelcoming and unprofessional atmosphere. During my most recent visit, I approached the desk expecting a standard greeting, but was met with silence. After waiting several moments, I initiated the interaction myself to check in for my appointment. The staff member responded with a dismissive attitude and no greeting, which made the experience uncomfortable. While I understand that everyone has difficult days, professionalism and courtesy are essential in a healthcare environment, especially since patients are often already under stress. I recommend improved training and management oversight to ensure that front desk staff represent the facility with the same respect and compassion shown by the clinical team.

Very disappointing experience at the specialty care center . I provided my vision insurance card at check-in, they accepted it, completed my eye exam, and only afterward told me that my insurance did not cover frames and glasses. Naturally, I assumed the eye exam itself was covered since they had already accepted my insurance and proceeded with the appointment. A month later, I received a $244 bill because apparently they do not take my insurance at all. This should have been verified and clearly explained before the appointment, not after the patient is left with an unexpected bill. Very misleading and unprofessional.

If I could give this place negative stars, I would—enthusiastically. Barington Heath Networks has been, without exaggeration, the worst decision I’ve made for my dental health. Appointments are constantly canceled or changed without any notice, as if patients are just expected to rearrange their lives on a whim. There’s no communication, no accountability, and no respect for your time. What’s actually infuriating is how much of this could have been prevented. I have insurance. I was willing to come in, stay on top of things, and handle issues early—when they’re cheaper, simpler, and actually preventative. Instead, nothing gets addressed until it spirals into something major, like a root canal. It genuinely feels like problems are ignored until they’re severe enough to require expensive, invasive work. That’s not healthcare—that’s negligence—and it’s what ultimately did the most damage. As for the front desk—they’re rude and unhelpful, but more importantly, they actively made things worse. I explained multiple times that I was having issues with the patient portal and couldn’t access my appointments. Despite that, they continued changing and canceling my schedule without properly notifying me, like it was some kind of game. I have a life. I go to school. I can’t just drop everything and drive an hour just to be told my appointment was canceled or quietly rescheduled—and then be blamed for “missing” it. And through all of this? No accountability. No apology. No remorse. Dental care is supposed to protect your health, not actively make it worse. Staying with this system cost me time, money, and the condition of my teeth. My next dentist is already dealing with the consequences of your inaction—and I regret ever trusting this office in the first place. Avoid this place if you value your time, your money, and your teeth.

The MA and RN don’t care about their job it seems. This place has gone down hill the last couple years. Feel like it’s a practice office for low income. Do yourself a favor and go to another clinic.

If you go here, don’t expect them to warn you that they don’t take your insurance. They’ll accept your insurance card, proceed with the exam without explaining anything, and then send you the bill afterward. Very inconsiderate and unprofessional.
