I had my first visit to Bass Lake Family Eye Care, and the team was incredibly kind and helpful. Dr. Michelle was so clear and answered all my questions and concerns. I’m definitely planning to return every year.

They do not care about you unless you are buying expensive glasses or contacts. I called because I needed an optometrist to follow up with my elderly mothers glaucoma, which I told them upfront. On 7/30 appointment I asked about an updated prescription for Lumigen/Bimataprost. Dr. Hurley had us fill out a release for her medical records and said he would call us back after checking her target eye pressure. I never heard back. On 8/10 I called they had not followed up to get her medical records and told me to call again tomorrow. On 8/11 I called and they said that Dr. Hurley would call us back. It is now 8/20 and they have never called us back. I do not think they wanted my mother as a patient because she did not need expensive eye glasses or contacts so she was not considered profitable. All they needed to say when I made the appointment was "We only do glasses and contacts." EDIT *** On 8/29 they did finally call us back but I already had an appointment with a new Ophthalmologist on 9/1 because I had given up and I assume they only remember to call because of this review.
From the employees at the front desk to Dr. Michelle Martin --- all are friendly, attentive, thorough and very professional. They were attentive to any questions I had and I didn't feel like I was being rushed. I highly recommend Bass Lake Family Eye Care.
Always a great experience here. The staff is very knowledgeable, and they do a great job of making you feel comfortable and taken care of. Everyone is friendly, approachable, and clearly very good at what they do. I’m really glad I found this eye care center and would absolutely recommend it.
It was so refreshing to go to a new eye care clinic where everyone was so friendly to work with and so welcoming. The eye doctor was so kind. She welcomed me with a smile and was very interested in me and getting to know me as a new patient and she ensured that I had an excellent experience with my eye exam. She was very thorough in explaining everything and even cared enough to share how I can improve my eye health. I recommend Bass Lake Family Care to anyone who is interested in a great experience for your eye care!
