Be aware, they scheduled you appointments without your knowledge, so then they can send you a $50.00 no show bill! I imagined how many people out there they have been doing the same! Taking advantage of old people! I agree with other reviewers about how expensive their lenses are, I went last year with one of my kids and I was charged certain amount of money under my insurance. Then went after a week with my other kid and have to pay more under the same insurance package with the same glasses- and her lenses prescription was even less than for my first visit. I guess they picked what they feel like charging every day. Not coming back!

I have a little bit of astigmatism and pretty good eyesight like 20/25 it's not too bad just barely bad. They tried to charge me $300 for a pair of glasses. I do not suggest buying glasses there and be cautious when you get out onto their sales floor because they push that stuff through before I could even think about it. The eye exam and the experts are amazing though so getting a prescription there I highly recommend. Buying glasses no their just trying to screw you over on the sales floor. I have single vision glasses and never cost $300 some dollars no matter what kind of stuff they're doing to the lenses go to Zenni. Purchasing the glasses go to beach eye care for your prescription
I love Beach Eye Care & all of their employees. Everyone is pleasant, as well as the environment. My optometrist was the first to ever find out that I didn’t have a vision problem (besides reading) But knew exactly for years & knew pin pointed the exact issue. 20/20 vision with severe dry eye disease. All other optometrists gave me prescriptions for eye glasses & still couldn’t see. They take the time with their patients & throughly exam them. Wonderful for glasses & contacts as well. SHOT out to all of the employees at Beach Eye Care on Cedar Rd :) Dr Ritenhour & Dr Barker are both Dry eye accredited & are absolutely wonderful & pleasant. Again, every issue is always addressed in a timely manner & with compassion. Dr R always throughly goes through my exams with no hesitation & tries her hardest to get the problem resolved.
Damaged my glasses over the weekend. Stopped in first thing and was assisted by Jordan, who was able to repair my glasses quick and without charge. Amazing customer service and thank you!
Absolutely loved my experience here—huge thanks to Mikaela and Ryan. They put me at ease right away and made the whole process genuinely enjoyable. I’m someone who thinks out loud and may change my mind a few times, and they were endlessly patient, kind, and helpful. We even ended up chatting about dogs, hobbies, sewing, and furniture building, which somehow made choosing glasses feel relaxed instead of stressful. Even when I decided to switch colors, they were nothing but supportive and encouraging. If you want knowledgeable people who actually listen and make you feel comfortable, ask for Mikaela and Ryan. Truly a great experience.
