Been going to the BEI for over a decade and trust the doctors there very much and would normally not hesitate to recommend them. BUT this year they moved across the street into the Beth Israel campus; so if you have any ongoing treatment you can be hit now with a “outpatient surgical fee” as a facility fee. In my case my bi monthly injections went from a $60 copay to a $560 copay. Needing it every two months to preserve my vision I’m now forced to lose the doctor I trust to find a provider not in a hospital; or pay an extra $3,000 a year. (Assuming I don’t get any emergency bleeds)
