Bellevue Vision Clinic

I am so happy that I found Bellevue Vision Clinic and Dr. Clayton, because after a few years and two different eye clinics' multiple attempts to fit me with contact lenses, I have finally gotten some good contacts! The whole staff there were great to work with, and I will happily remain a client of this Clinic going forward.

Update: I’ll start by reiterating how happy I am to have found Dr. Clayton! They remade my glasses but something still wasn’t right. Lisa and I figured I was in the small percentage who could not wear progressive lenses, so she remade them into a standard bifocal, but again they were uncomfortable to use. Dr. Clayton again took the time to double check my prescription and found the glasses were correct, so he decided to examine my eye health since he didn’t do this year’s exam and found that my issue was my 20 year old Lasik procedure was enhancing the effects of my early cataracts and that the glasses were just making that effect worse. He educated me as to why correcting my extremely mild vision issues wasn’t possible and what to expect going forward relative to cataract surgery. I’m incredibly grateful! Initial experience: An outstanding experience all around! I was struggling to find frames that worked for me and that I liked. Plus, we were in need of a new optometrist moving forward. Dr. Clayton came highly recommended by multiple friends, so I visited their Woodinville location. They had a wide selection of quality frames and Lisa took the time to assist me in finding one that was just right. Unfortunately, the new prescription (from our previous doctor) did not work for me. Dr. Clayton agreed to retest me to see what might be wrong. He took his time, making sure my vision was checked in detail and in the end found that my prescription needed to be revised. I can't say enough about Dr. Clayton. I am so impressed with him and so appreciative of his kindness and attention to my situation. We look forward to him being our optometrist.

Excellent care as always. We've been going to Bellevue Vision Clinic for over a decade and always appreciated the care and service we have received. The Woodinville location is particularly convenient for us from Kirkland.

I did not like deceptive post-visit emails. They had this subject "Reminder: Follow up to your appointment at Bellevue Vision Clinic" but when you open the email, it is asking for you to provide a review on Google.

Dr. Clayton was excellent; however, there was an issue with billing. Before the appointment, I was clearly told that my insurance was accepted. After the examination was completed, I was informed that the provider is in-network only for eye emergencies, not for routine checkups. As a result, I was charged 80% of the cost and had to pay $256 out of pocket for a simple routine checkup, which has always been fully covered for me for many years at other locations. Please be aware of this issue.
