Big City Optical Lincoln Park

Stopped in to get an eye exam and had a great experience. John walked me thru the initial exam and Dr. Ngo was great during the eye check! Rudy, Summer, and John were all fantastic during my intense 2hr try-on session! Had my new glasses same day and they were perfect. Thanks again to the whole team!!

Had a phenomenal experience at Lincoln Park Big City Optical. When I arrived, I was warmly greeted by the staff and promptly taken care of. Danie, Summer, Rudy, and John all went above and beyond in their customer experience. They were thoroughly involved and bring such great energy into this space. Danie and Summer were thorough in their imaging, ensuring I was both comfortable and the images were of the best quality. Rudy, specifically, thoughtfully pulled frames for me to try and really tailored his picks to my taste; while John held a specific expertise for thoughtful geometric and color optimizations. And best of all, the frames were ready immediately the next day! I've never had such a positive, uplifting experience doing my routine eye exams. They are efficient, skilled, thoughtful, and kind. Would definitely recommend this location and this specific team of people to anyone who is looking to grab a new pair of frames or get their routine exam done.

This is a few months overdue, but I came into town and completely forgot to bring more of my daily contacts! On a hope and a prayer, I walked into BCO asking if I could potentially snag a few of their free samples just to hold me over for my weekend trip. Wish I remembered his name, but the employee (maybe manager?) hooked me up and truly saved the day!! Great place, great customer service! Would recommend :)

There are so many choices when choosing an optical provider - this is one I would not recommend. They included a retinal exam not covered by insurance without sharing that. It felt sneaky and a way to maximize their revenue without considering the client. Additionally, I wanted to buy frames elsewhere and requested that they email my prescription and they never did. I previously went to Warby Parker and will definitely be back after this experience.

My eye exam was very thorough. In fact, it revealed things about my eye that no one had informed me about before. The equipment is also very new and advanced. Speaking of the frame-selection and fitting process, I couldn’t have had a better facilitator than Rudy! He not only has impeccable taste, but he also has the patience of a saint. This was honestly one of the best eye appointments I’ve ever had, and I’ve been going to the eye doctor since I was in second grade. I can’t recommend them more! :)
