Disappointing Experience: Severe Scheduling Errors & Poor Communication I am writing to share my deep frustration regarding my recent visit for a routine eye exam, which was my second annual visit to this clinic. Unfortunately, several aspects of the care and service were highly disappointing. Lack of Explanation on Prescriptions Each time I visit, I expect the optometrist to take a moment to explain my prescription changes. Instead, it is simply handed to me by the receptionist. My reading glasses prescription jumped from a 1.5 to a 2.5. A 2.5 prescription is far too strong for me, as I am completely fine using a 1.5 for occasional reading. Because no one discussed this significant and unnecessary change with me, I am left deeply concerned about the accuracy of the exam. Severe Scheduling and System Errors The scheduling process for this visit was entirely unorganized: Appointment Mix-ups: I carefully booked back-to-back appointments for myself and a family member at 10:05 AM and 10:20 AM to minimize our waiting time. Both of us received a half-dozen confirmation texts verifying these exact times. Staff Disregard: Upon arrival, the staff insisted our times were 10:05 AM and 10:50 AM. Because of this error, we both wasted an hour waiting and barely made it to a subsequent meeting in Brookline. Notification Spam: We were bombarded with automated texts asking us to book appointments we had already scheduled, alongside multiple cancellation alerts when our doctors were changed(which is probably the reason they changed the time). The clinic seems to have a severe communication breakdown with its automated booking system, and the staff showed zero urgency or care to resolve it. I expect much better customer service and clinical communication from an eye care provider

I had a wonderful experience at my recent eye appointment. The Dr was very thorough, patient, and took the time to answer all my questions and explain everything clearly. I never felt rushed and really appreciated the care and reassurance she provided. Highly recommended!
I’ve been to see doctors at both the Wellesley & Brookline offices. Booking appointments have always been easy and I have been greeted kindly & professionally. Inna Z. Is especially helpful and knowledgeable about insurance. I noticed at the Brookline location that there are many Russian speaking patients and I thought it was wonderful for them to be able to speak to the doctors/office staff in their native language. Sometimes medical issues are stressful and I thought it must be comforting to them. I don’t speak Russian but all of my conversations with doctors and staff instill confidence in their care.
I want to express my huge gratitude to the women who was working today at the front desk Boston vision on Wellesley office She helped me quickly and efficiently, everything was organized at the highest level. I am very happy with the service and wanted to highlight her professionalism. Thank you so much Inna Zhizhina for the wonderful experience !!!
