I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at Bright Eyes. I came in seeking help for my 7-year-old daughter who cannot see without her glasses, and instead of support, I was met with a very dismissive and unprofessional attitude from the front desk employee, Ashlyn. She showed little to no empathy, made several smart remarks, appeared defensive, and even smirked during the interaction while I was clearly expressing concern as a parent. I asked about possible options such as a medical necessity request, emergency assistance, or even temporary solutions like loaner frames, and was repeatedly told there was “nothing that could be done” unless I paid out of pocket. I was also told the doctor was unavailable, no one was in charge to assist me, and that I would receive a callback later in the day, which I never received. After leaving with no real help, I had to do my own research and call the office back about 30min later to request my child’s prescription. Although I did received it, I left feeling completely unsupported, unheard, and frustrated during a situation where my child genuinely needed help, and I believe situations involving children should be handled with far more care, urgency, and compassion than what I experienced.
