Dr. Hornberger is fantastic. She treats our entire family, which includes well eye exams, glasses, treating children’s glasses and neurolenses. She is patient, kind and age appropriate with our daughter who is 10. Our daughter is confident in her glasses in part because Dr. Hornberger and her team have been so attentive to her needs. Highly recommend!
The doctor is extremely kind and tries to help you even if there is no benefit for her. She devotes time to try and solve problems that most doctors do not give you the time for. The staff is very kind and the doctor is excellent. Cannot say enough great things about the business.
At one time, I did review and evaluated Bright Family at Five-Star. This time I was disappointed. Just a warning --- Do not let them up-sell you on a procedure during your eye exam. The procedure cost is small but they go ahead and charge you a co-pay. My exam was supposed to have NO co-pays per my Medicare insurance carrier. But I was changed $40 and was told it was because of the Screening Retinal Photos. I was originally told this procedure would be my cost of $39. I agreed to $39 but not $79. On a previous exam, I was not charged a co-pay. After also calling other eye care organizations, they do not charge co-pays for this exam. There were also other issues that I became aware of after my appointment.
The personnel were all very professional, supportive and friendly. Doctor Hornberger's inspection, attention to detail and prescription creation was all top notch. Now the prices for the glasses, even with my insurance was above what I expected, but with the quality of the glasses and the above mentioned service you get what you pay for. With my particular insurance they told me that It might be 2 to 3 weeks before the glasses came in.
I have been a patient of Dr. Hornberger for close to 10 years and she is amazing! She is extremely knowledgeable, very personable and will take her time with you. Her staff has always provided exceptional care for myself and family. I would highly recommend.
