My visit with Dr Kondash was a solid 5 - as usual. He's professional, thorough, patient, takes the time to explain everything & I feel confident with the care I receive from him. I'm happy for him that he's retiring 10/1/'26 but sad, because I'll miss him. My reason for the reduced rating is due to the staff (first time I've ever experienced care of this caliber from this office after being a pt for many years). I was completely turned off at the beginning of the visit by one staff, ?Lori, who did my initial testing (pressure measurement, vision screening, eye drops, etc). She repeatedly, deeply & loudly, open-mouth yawned & never once covered her mouth, nor apologized. After the exam by the Dr I was told to check out & make a follow-up appointment & get a script from Lori for new lenses & another script would be called in to the pharmacy. Only one thing happened because I did it myself. I made my followup appointment. Lori was nowhere to be found for the others. After I got home I called the office & asked to speak with "Lori" about the scripts. Again, or still, she was unreachable. Thankfully, the call center rep I was speaking with was very competent & efficient & nice & she emailed my new lens script to me. The other script was called into the pharmacy shortly before 5pm. It would have been nice to speak & confirm all this with Lori but the job was done & I'm satisfied. I'm uncertain where I'll go after Dr. Kondash retires. Today's level of frustration makes me think twice about my healthcare providers. Do I want to risk having similar things happen again & have to double check their work. The best way for me to describe my experience with the staff today is - they're slipping - the professionalism I experienced is sorely lacking. I learned today, they have one main call center that handles all incoming calls. There's no way to directly call a specific office. I agree with previous reviews that mentioned the fact there is a LOT of walking involved getting from one testing room to another. Each test & it's computer monitor sized equipment is in a separate / different room which involves schlepping all your belongings with you down separate hallways, around corners & down more hallways. This is no problem for able-bodied patients, but for the elderly & patients with physical limitations it is quite a pain (literally & figuratively).

The Staff was very polite, professional and friendly. Doctor DaVitt was very thorough , kind, and professional. Took his time with the exam, and answered any questions I had. The offices were clean and spacious, and full of patients. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a good eye doctor.
Dr. Kondash was pleasant & very informative explaining my eye issue. I appreciated them scheduling an urgent visit for me. The Center was very busy when I arrived but they moved people through pretty quickly. (Four doctors were there that day.) Midwest Eye Center is very close & convenient for me.
I was impressed with their new location on Cheviot Road. Very large building with plenty of parking. The nurse that did everything prior to me seeing the Doctor could have been more personable, she spoke to me as if she was reading the questions to me. I had never seen Dr. Seitz and I really liked her, already scheduled my next visit with her. She prescribed eye drops to me and she spoke with me about how they deal with the insurance companies and prior authorizations. It was refreshing for a Doctor to be concerned about the price of a medication, instead of just prescribing a prescription that I cant afford. I would recommend Dr. Seitz if you are in need of a new eye doctor.
I had a great experience! Very clean and quiet. Wonderful staff, especially the prescription manager (think her name is Sarah) and Dr Seitz! We had a big issue with my prescription but they did everything they could and we finally got it cleared up and I’m on the road to healing after dealing with a severe case of Dry eye for over three years! Don’t listen to the negativity- a lot of ppl don’t do what’s required and then get mad when things don’t go their way. I highly recommend this place. There’s no long wait list and the appointments are quick, efficient, and easy. Thank you MEC, Dr. Seitz, and Sarah for sticking with me and getting me through this bc I wasn’t always the nicest. They literally got a $900 prescription down to $60 and I actually got it free this time because of the issues that came up. They made everything right after some frustrating delays. At Walgreens, my script would’ve been $500 WITH insurance and moving forward, it’s only $60 w/their delivery svc. I’m so happy and excited to FINALLY get some relief!!
