Brightwood Eye Center

I went to this location due to the reviews, however; this wasn’t a pleasurable experience! Upon arrival, the receptionist didn’t greet me, she yelled to another young lady to check me in. That young lady, didn’t ask for any of my insurance cards (I was handing it to her), stated since I completed the information on line they didn’t need the information again. She then proceeded to tell me that I needed to pay $249 as it was for a diabetic eye exam and I hadn’t met my deductible . I advised that I don’t have a deductible and I’ve never paid over $10 for a routine eye exam. She kept repeating herself as if I didn’t hear or comprehend what she was saying. I repeated myself again and advised to cancel the appointment. I went to the car and called my insurance provider BCBSNC & EyeMed and was advised that I only have a $10 copay! I’m thoroughly disappointed with the reception and treatment that I received and would advise others not to patronize the provider. Their staff was not welcoming, nor did they seem to care enough to call to verify benefits for a NEW patient!

I recently had an appointment with Dr.B at Brightwood eye center . I am so glad I chose this office for my eye care needs. ​From the moment I checked in, the staff was friendly, professional, and efficient. The waiting area was clean and comfortable. However I only noticed it I didn't even have to wait. ​The examination with Dr. B was fantastic. They were incredibly patient, thorough, knowledgeable and took the time to explain to me that there were new prescriptions on the market for severe dry eye. He answered my questions about my eye health, walk me through the dilation proces. I felt well-informed and confident in their care. ​The opticians who helped me with my glasses were also amazing. Girl I can't remember your name but I remember your face. She was so helpful in guiding me to the perfect pair of frames. They were great at helping me find a style that fit my face, explaining the different lens options. She had all my insurance information and helped me select a second pair of prescription sunglasses. ​Overall, my experience was excellent, smooth,and positive I highly recommend Dr. B and Brightwood eye Center staff.

After having been disappointed at my last eye appointment with Lens Crafters I found Brightwood Eye Center in my insurance network. I thought I would give them a try because they were close to me and had great reviews for the most part. My appointment was yesterday and they did not disappoint me at all! Everyone was friendly and professional. Dr Bulakowski was awesome. He took his time with me. His nurse/assistant was great also she understood that I have a problem getting eye drops in and she did it with ease. The young lady that checked me in was also the one who fitted me with glasses. She was very friendly and didn’t rush me like the other places I have been too. I highly recommend the office!

This was my first time visiting the office and everyone was very friendly and extremely helpful.

First time I had been to the eye doctor in probably 15 years, the staff was extremely professional and helpful. Everything was communicated very well and they were able to diagnose the issue I was having and help provide me with my first pair of glasses. From my experience- highly recommend this place to anyone seeking an eye doctor.
