I would like to share my disappointment regarding my experience today. I purchased jewelry, electronics, and a roasted chicken, all on separate transactions. The jewelry had to be paid for at a different register, and I was given the bag and box that indicate the item was already paid for. The electronics had to be removed from a locked case by an employee after payment. As for the roasted chicken, an employee was present and witnessed me paying for it. Despite all of this, the employee checking receipts at the exit treated the situation as if I was attempting to leave without paying for my merchandise. I found this very upsetting and embarrassing. What was even more frustrating was that the employee who had witnessed me paying for the chicken did not say anything until I became upset. At that point, she simply stated that the door employee was “just doing his job.” While I understand the importance of loss prevention, customers who have clearly paid for their items should be treated with respect and not made to feel like they are being accused of theft. This experience left a very negative impression on me and has made me reconsider where I choose to shop in the future. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.
